So much work! I rough cut them with a tiny Dremel diamond cutter wheel at the end of a flexible shaft and then just finished them with a file. Fast and furious style.
That is how I used to do it, the jewelers saw is quicker and can go through tiny curves that a diamond cutter can't. Give the jewelers saw a try, you're going to love it.
@GitaraMaker I gave it a try, but for some reason, I just couldn't make it to work. I've got spiral and fine flat blades, but their tooth just caught on the shell and wouldn't slide further to cut. Can you give me a link to the blade you are using?
I custom made them from an old hack saw, been using them for 17yrs so I think it's time to make new ones with better design and good handle. I'd probably include that in another video or shorts.
This video is my therapy
I'm glad that you liked it ☺️
It is so peaceful watching this video it's almost hypnotic I love it
Thank you. I'm glad that you liked it

Where did you get those tiny chisels?

@@GitaraMakerThat would be awesome!
Excellent Video.
Would you show us how to make those tiny chisels?
I noticed they were made from Hacksaw blades...
Yes, I've been meaning to make a new set. Thanks!
And in the fishing gear there are goldfish that can be fused into the resin of the guitar deck. There will be an aquarium theme.
I like to see them done in Abalone
Very nice work what kind of file do you use for that in smoothing the edges on the birds?
They're needle files but a diamond coated file is the ideal tool for the job which I don't have at this time.
Thank you
If there are birds on the fretboard, then the resin on the guitar deck needs to be made to look like the sky, so that the birds can fly there too.
Beautiful work. It must have taken so many hours... 🫣
It did. This inlay job took me 3 days to finish. If you've seen my Tim Henson guitar video, the inlay on that took me 3 weeks
@GitaraMaker 3 weeks?? I might have seen it but I'll look again.
My fretboard is longer (24 frets) and the original is shorter (22 frets), so I made a few more inlays (53 mother of pearl inlay pieces)
