    First they take the dingle bop and they smooth it out with a bunch of schleem. The schleem is then...repurposed for later batches.
    They take the dingle bop and they push it through the grumbo, where the fleeb is rubbed against it. It's important that the fleeb is rubbed, becasue the fleeb has all the fleeb juice.
    Then, a schlami shows up, and he rubs it...and spits on it.
    They cut the fleeb. There's several hizzards in the way.
    The blamfs rub against the chumbles, and the...plubis, and grumbo are shaved away.

    I love it.... I am an aspiring luthier, and bird inlays are one thing I really want to try.
    I have been happy using epoxy for fret markers, and I suppose I could do it that way too. I feel that CNC machines annihilated the custom guitar, but I understand production and cost. I prefer something made by hand. Hard to be impressed by machines doing the work :)
    When I see big companies showing their production, I kind of cringe at the lack of hands-on work that we see these days.

      Craftsmanship is a dying art.
      I like a house built by hand too. Amd a knife. And just about everything. Maybe I'm just old school, but it matters.
      Building my own guitars, I have to charge much more than those huge companies producing cookie-cutter fiddles. I built Custom Cabinets for years, and was always competing with the mass-produced chinese cabinets as well. They just weren't the same.
      Fortunately a lot of people still seek that out. If the price is reflected I'm all for it....
      But it it's a guitar that cost thousands of dollars it better not have a CNC machine involved in the process..

    • @UltimateBreloom
      @UltimateBreloom 2 года назад

      @@carpocraftguitarscarpentry8469 Just depends. How much of a difference is there really between a CNC machine and a pin router?
      I do also appreciate hand-made instruments, but at the end of the day, they'll never be as precise or cheap as CNC made guitars. The widespread adoption of CNC production has significantly lowered the cost of entry for new musicians. There were a ton of those during the pandemic. A lot of those people might later decide to purchase a more hand-crafted guitar.
      I also build electrics, but I do most of my it on CNC machines just because it's so incredibly precise and consistent. I draw my own designs and make my own tool paths. There's a lot to it.
