You guys are the only ones that don't pause the song a million times during play to ramble on for ten minutes and then continue for a few seconds and then pause for another ten minutes to incecsently ramble on nonsense. Yalls reactions are always on point and always interesting and keeps me captavated. Much love you guys.
Such an underrated song & a great opener to a brilliant album. Raw,, authentic, cathartic emotion. My sentimental favourite. Love your love of music! Thanks for reviewing & keep up the great work guys!
You've got me thinking back to different periods of my life now. Amazing realization! Part of why I even study Tarot is because of Tool. Thanks for sharing that!
Undertow next. Justin is awesome and I really think he helped push them to the next level, but Paul was a great bass player for them too. His style fit with the raw, angry energy they had at that point.
Long time listen, 100% not the first time caller...anyway, I f*** love this band man...I fkn love it more hanging with peeps who proper get into the TOOL groove...it fills my glass and my heart 😆
Paul D'Amour (on this album) as well as Justin Chancellor are both awesome bassists. If you haven't listened to Crawl Away I suggest you give it a listen
I was so giddy when I got your notification for another Tool reaction. Another great reaction, I’m not sure I can wait weeks until your next Tool reaction!!! 😂
First tool album i heard and the only one i listened to for two decades before discovering their other ones. Not even kidding. This song, and whole album is underrated. They're very accessible songs and serve as a great intro to Tool. This song is in 4/4 time, so everyone can bob their head, but it's still fire!
@@bradennichols3154 I know it sounds really, really dumb, but yes. I was out hiking and figured I'd finally try one of the other albums. They hit me hard. I still think Undertow is great gateway album, though, whereas Fear Innoculum is something I wouldn't wish on a first time listener.
The Patient will get you going to such a good place. 👍. You two remind me of me and my wife. The love for music, Tool in particular, is astounding. The Patient. Im waiting.
Puscifer - “Vagina Mine” (Live from Rock Am Ring 2016), “Telling Ghosts” (official video), “The Undertaker” ( live from “What Is...” or live from Lollapalooza 2013)
🚨❤🔥💔 I believe that the song is about an inappropriate relationship with an authority figure and it sounds like it happened when he was at the military academy
This was my favorite Tool album of all time...my buddy who died back in 2004 introduced me to this blazing a fat one and other things....,everytime I jam this album........, I feel like he is sitting in the room with me everytime I listen to this album!....😛😛😛🤪😜
And as a Tooligan who’s a lifer in the Tool Army, circa 1992, and on behalf of the rest of Army, we the slightly unhinged, just want to say “back at ya, the feeling is mutual!” I’ve been watching this channel almost since the beginning And I truly appreciate the raw honesty of your reactions, you lend a form and physicality to the feelings this music invokes in me, And watching it played out through you, is about as close as I can get to hearing it again for the first time. Oh, big props on the decision to make the move to bring in the Mrs.! She completes your channel, she immediately stepped in like a veteran and fit seamlessly in as a perfect compliment to you. Which also gave you the ability to revisit already reacted to songs, to get a new fresh reaction. Keep it up, don’t change a thing you guys are one of my all time favs, love ya! Peace out✌️ toodles✌️
Saw the video for "Undertow" on Headbangers Ball in 1993 on a Saturday nite, next day after school I walked to local record store n bought "Undertow" on CD. Almost 30 years, 12 live shows, & 104/400 signed Adam Jones original screen print poster from 2010 St. Paul, MN. Ill never forget 2006, 10k pre-tour, small theater in Minneapolis(Orpheum), opened with "Lost Keys, Rosetta Stoned" & MJK sang the last verse on " Vicarious." Best ever tho, opened with Salival "Third Eye" in 2010!!! & also played "Intolerance" on that tour too.
Loved opiate then this little ditty came along....refined yet, honest. Was ground breaking imo back in the 90s. Every album shows progression in music, in life .
One of their best songs ever. Please please check out a song called A Residual Haunting from Byzantine. It will BLOW YOUR MIND ! Love the JJ shirt man.
It isn't Tool but yall should REALLY check out the band Kolm. Heavy Tool and Soen vibes, but they also fuse a lot more electronica vibes into their music. Aquarius Initiation is a great song from them. Anyways, love your reactions man hope your wife is doing alright with the sniffles. Excited to see what sorta heavy stuff your going to solo react to soon.
Y'all are my new favorite reaction pair! Please check out Pallbearer. Great southern doom metal band. Foreigner and Worlds Apart still get me in the feels.

I believe others do it to prevent demonitization.
I,m 64 and I get just like them when I kick up the volume listening to Tool
When I figured out my ex cheated. I didn’t say a word. I just played this song for her on the ride home over and over. This songs hits my feels

Tool are straight fire... group of exceptional musicians...they haven't released a bad song..
30 years....this song os 30 years old and STILL makes me bang my head and punch the air!!!! Fuck yeah!!!
They played it at the Madison Square Garden 1 12 2024 I was in heaven 🎉
Love that bong rip at the beginning of the song.
Undertow criminally underrated album
Don't think you have done their song "H" yet, that was the song that hooked me. First time I heard it, I had to pull over on the side of the road.
H and 46&2 for me, then saw them at Ozzfest 98 with Maynard in front and Adam and Justin both to my right(Danny’s left)..unreal concert!
I have died, and I will die, but its alright, I dont mind...
Nobody does it like tool, hands down favorite tool album
Such an underrated song & a great opener to a brilliant album. Raw,, authentic, cathartic emotion. My sentimental favourite. Love your love of music! Thanks for reviewing & keep up the great work guys!
This is Undertow
West Point Academy motto; "the cadet will not lie, cheat or steal, or tolerate those who do" (paraphrase)
Not moto. Honor code
Love your Tool reactions. Greetings from Argentina.
Tool is like a tarot deck, they always reflect what's going on
They are definitely tapped into the ethereal side of life. They straight describe 2020-2022 with FI

Absolutely, they hold the test of time
Such an Under rated song from Tool. Glad you guys got to it.
Good music you cant replicate in this day and age, tool have had brilliant music from day 1❤
The intro is a bong bubbling
Paul D'Amour (on this album) as well as Justin Chancellor are both awesome bassists. If you haven't listened to Crawl Away I suggest you give it a listen
Swamp song showcases his talent most profoundly
Swamp Song is one of my Favorites of this album. or Crawl Away
The whole thing 🎉
It hurts deep when people cheat. "TOOL' stay relevant to what goes on in everyday life. Master Musicians in every sense of the word.. Love em.
I just thought to myself, "hmm...I wonder if they've done any Tool lately". Check it and boom: 1 minute ago.
Weird wild stuff

Guys, please get to Lost Keys and Rosetta Stoned. Their craziest creation...completely epic. Much love! 🥃🥃
Intolerance is the beginning of the Undertow that drags you down. The happiest ppl are the 1s who forgive much
Many rightfully argue that this is their best album.

That's Boomerang sound at the first of this song.
The strange noise at the beginning is dude is taken a bong hit out of one of those 3 foot glass bongs.
This is actually there 2nd album, opiate was the first. Awesome tracks on that one as well 🙂
I guess you could say that this was there first L.P., Opiate being an E.P. .
For many, this is the 2nd Tool song they ever heard. After hearing Sober, running out to buy Undertow and this being the first song on the album.
Storm Corrosion (MIkael Akerfeldt from Opeth and Steven WIlson from Porcupine Tree) - Storm Corrosion
Sweat, cos if you're not ready to Sweat for a few mins, just leave the Tool in the box, yung' un'

whole album recorded in two weeks! unreal!
Would love to see tool just do the whole Undertow album and I am completely satisfied
Tool wrote a song back in 1992 over what the hell is actually happening in this world right now...Dictators-- Lie ,Cheat and Steal.😂
