Just a heads up please NO SPOILERS on any recommendations you guys know we like to go in as blind as possible. A few spoiled the Henry Rollins colab/appearance on this track so we want to avoid that happening going forward. Don’t get me wrong though, Henry Crushed it! With that said Happy Halloween TOOL ARMY!
The world was not ready for this album then. I don’t believe if this album came out yesterday if the world would be ready for it now. This album will live forever!! LET THE RABBITS WEAR GLASSES!!!!
Paul’s Bass just hits differently, their sound was different, that’s no knock on Justin, their great in their own way. Both of them brought some amazing bass lines
The sound of Paul D'Amour's bass throughout Undertow is absolutely sinister. It totally carries the mood of the album. It's the best bass performance of all time for me. This was his last album with the band and Tool never sounded this creepy again.
The immediate reaction was hilarious! I'm not sure if you guys have reacted to the song Undertow, but it's amazing. My two favorite tracks on the album.
Definitely THE FASTEST ive EVER clicked on a video. Yalls reaction vids are so great and authentic, especially when it's my absolute favorite band in the world, the almighty fucking TOOL. I voted for Bottom so this makes my night though I would die to see yall do the entire album and even the entire TOOL discography. But this is gonna be the tits. I love you guys. Yall are the shit. Please keep doing what yall do and I would so much love to see more Mastodon reactions. Tred Lightly and Seabeast are two absolute beasts that will make you both hardcore Mastodon fans. Trust that. \m/ \m/
It's pretty awesome that you did this. Early 90's Tool and Pantera got me into heavy music. Growing up as a teenager in the 90's was a privilege. "Swamp Song" and "Intolerance" from this album should be next.
Young Tool. Undertow is great from start to finish. Prison Sex with lyrics will blow your mind 😉. Loved this one you two! Edited because I need to put a 💓💓💓 in this reply.
So sorry for the spoiler.... you called it, I was one of those that just got excited and just really wanted to see your reaction. Love the channel and your love of music.... Keep rocking the free world 🤘... Now back to the reaction. Glad you were rocked by Bottom. Undertow has raw energy. I would recommend your next track be the opening cut.... Intolerance. No spoilers :)
3 versions of this song - this one (studio version). The version with Zach from Rage on the interlude live. The version with Maynard on the interlude live.
Henry is Legend... you should react to some of his music and spoken word. first time i saw him live was in 1991 in a small 800 person venue in Dublin, he was touring with RHCP and blew them off the stage - and i went to the gig as a Chilis fan Respect & Peace
Tool has definitely evolved over their career. This album and their 2nd album are a bit more aggressive and angry. I think probably because they were young and hungry and like most young people, angry at the world. Then as they got older and experienced more life, I think they grew more introspective, rather than raising a fist to all the evils of the outside world...Tho, they can still be angry when they want. Love, love, love Tool. I also think you can see how Rage Against the Machine and these guys were close around this time. Bottom definitely has a RATM groove to it.
Love me some Justin Chancellor but Paul D was a beast and you can see how Adams and Danny’s music writing and style helped both bass players sound epic. As good as both JC and Paul were it’s the bands style and inclusion of the Nasty bass playing is what makes them both as good as they were.
Watching new Tool for you with you is so fun!! Fuck seatbelts, phhttttt. with a side of noodles. Personally I was a whole album voter, but that didn't happen..... so if you want a recom; next track = undertow........ the album :) :) also, I am not used to seeing you in so much light
Since you already know. A little more information about early tool Henry Rollins was Maynard's like Godfather who Introduced him to the music industry. Because this was never supposed to be a thing MJk was incredibly pissed off about the music industry/scene and people told him you do better then......... And we'll seems like he did... They did..
You folks should listen to Merkaba from the album Salival, it's definitely the most psychadelic song Tool has ever done so you should definitely consume the most powerful psychadelic substance you can acquire beforehand ;)

Beard of Harmony does an AWESOME acoustic version of Tool's Right In Two. You should check it out
This album is nearly 30 years old. I don’t think the world was ready when Tool launched back then
The world wasn’t, but the select few were. Cheers.
I was 17 and sure the hell was ready.
i was there.. i was ready .. bought the cassette then later bought the cd. back in tha day! :D
I was
I was there and absolutely ready f-ing unbelievable album
I love you guys your Tool reactions are the best❣️ Undertow is what hooked me 30 yrs ago😊
The world was not ready for this album then. I don’t believe if this album came out yesterday if the world would be ready for it now. This album will live forever!! LET THE RABBITS WEAR GLASSES!!!!
This song saved my life. Gave me strength to face my sexual abuser. Check out "Pushit" from both Ænima and the altered live version on Salival.
UNDERTOW!!!. THE MOST HARD ASS ALBUM THEY HAVE DONE. MY FAVORITE!!
Paul’s Bass just hits differently, their sound was different, that’s no knock on Justin, their great in their own way. Both of them brought some amazing bass lines
Tool is life
The sound of Paul D'Amour's bass throughout Undertow is absolutely sinister. It totally carries the mood of the album. It's the best bass performance of all time for me. This was his last album with the band and Tool never sounded this creepy again.
As much as I love JC, FLOOD might be my favorite bass track ever. The heaviness of his bass does sound sinister 👊🏿
Is this Paul's dad? Tell Paul I said hi.
Btw, seen the Zimmer/D'Amour collab?
@@dan.j.boydzkreationz not Hanz Zimmerman?
With Justin reach another level of music
This album, to me, is in Tools top 3 best albums, it was my first experience with Tool
Was hoping the full album would win the poll, but one at a time is still fun too. Title track or Swamp Song next.
YES… TITLE TRACK IS A MUST!!!
Swamp song, life changer
Special thanks to Henry Rollins for his spoken word segment.
Swamp song or crawl away. Love you guys reactions. Love tool. Keep up the great work.
This whole album is such a cool and different sound for Tool! Glad to see you guy reacting to it, enjoy!
The immediate reaction was hilarious!
I'm not sure if you guys have reacted to the song Undertow, but it's amazing. My two favorite tracks on the album.
This song is so powerful
I love the Henry Rollins feature on this song. Killer track. Classic. Love your vids!
Thank you! YES. That was Henry Rollins. So 90s. Next? SWAMP SONG. \m/\m/
It is a strong song. Glad you enjoyed it.
God I could listen to Maynard scream that last "Dead Inside" all fucking day.
That classic Maynard scream/voice always gives me chills. So primal!
6:47 favorite Maynard scream
I could watch you guys react to TOOL every day.
Justin was made for the part but Paul was slingin straight hot mayonnaise outta that bass
This particular album, way back in 10th grade, changed my life. Epic reaction. Cheers.
Same! Summer between 9th & 10th grade when I first heard this. Intolerance was the first Tool track I ever listened to, and been hooked ever since.
10th grade, same for me. My parents were super religious and I had to get my friends to copy it to a blank tape so my folks wouldn't throw it away.
Definitely THE FASTEST ive EVER clicked on a video. Yalls reaction vids are so great and authentic, especially when it's my absolute favorite band in the world, the almighty fucking TOOL. You guys are great. Bet you need a cigerette after that lol! 😉😂
Love your guys work, love your genuine reactions! TOOL all day.
sometimes you forget how great old Tool is.
The whole Undertow record is phenomenal.
A little Henry Rollins in this one for good measure.
Not if you never stopped listening.
I would love to see your reactions to Forty Six & 2! It's absolutely iconic to me.
I had this album and my friends would hide it from me because I listened to it so much🤯🥳🤯🥳
I've struggled with mental health my whole life. This song is a reminder that others know how I feel.
Love the reactions...🤘🤘 cause you both get it!!..this Album is a jammer, so raw
Dead inside!!!!!
This album changed my life in the early 90's we never heard a sound like this still a fan to this day and I'm 48 now
It's pretty awesome that you did this. Early 90's Tool and Pantera got me into heavy music. Growing up as a teenager in the 90's was a privilege. "Swamp Song" and "Intolerance" from this album should be next.
maaaan.. what took you guys so long to react to this..
whooooo hooooo love it!!
Shit adds up at the bottom!!!
Yes, Yes and YES!!!! 💜 -x-
I F***ing love tool and you guys have some of the best reviews 👍
happy halloween guys!, been watching a long time now and still excited to see new reatctions!
Wow, that is so solid
This is HUNGRY Tool.... salute to spoken word.....
Danny Carrie does it again... his drumming is off the charts. and Jones guitar tones and scales are superb.... "TOOL" freaks me out.
Also check out the live footage of this song with Zac from RATM doing Henry's part but his own words, its so brutal
Young Tool. Undertow is great from start to finish. Prison Sex with lyrics will blow your mind 😉. Loved this one you two!
Edited because I need to put a 💓💓💓 in this reply.
One of the best in da biz🔥🔥
Yessssss
Now you Gotta listen to the song "Jimmy" please .
Followed you because Tool brought me to your channel. They run music.
There are a couple of songs on this album that I consider preludes to what the band would become in subsequent albums & this is one of them.
Misfits T-shirt! The bassist played in APC, Puscifer, and NIN as well.
Love Tool!!!!!! you two Rock too! lol Happy Halloween!!
Love all your reactions but when I see a new Tool one I become stupidly excited. ok now I’m gonna watch this reaction.
Tool newbies really need to start with Undertow then move forward!!!! AMAZING!!!
Why not start from the beginning? Sweat, Cold and Ugly, and Jerk-0ff are still among my favorites.
Crawl Away!!! Really the whole album is awesome!
Sweet. Can you guys do Rosemary by the deftones? Thanks, peace
O cant wait to see your faces.
hard rock fm
Top tier song from tools early days
Great vid
Ok. Now listen to it about a 1000 more times. It just keeps getting better...
UNDERTOW
OG TOOL FTW =)
Tool was very heavy metal on this album-undertow. They are much more progressive metal the past 4 albums.
Beat that!
5:50 Danny in witch mode!!
I have the same reaction every time I hear that drum feel. Epic
3 versions of this song - this one (studio version). The version with Zach from Rage on the interlude live. The version with Maynard on the interlude live.
awesome reaction you guys are a joy to watch. gotta do Prison Sex and Swamp Song for sure
You guys need to react to Floods by Tool. Or Swamp Song.
Old School Tool. +
Ehhhhhhhj👌🏻❤️
Love this song, love henry. You should check out under by filter live!
Gotta love Henry Rollins in the breakdown\bridge part, 4:10 into song
eaction
😎🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
The good old days of angry Maynard.
Henry is Legend... you should react to some of his music and spoken word. first time i saw him live was in 1991 in a small 800 person venue in Dublin, he was touring with RHCP and blew them off the stage - and i went to the gig as a Chilis fan Respect & Peace
The spoken voice is Henry Rollins of Rollins Band, the man you should thank for finding Tool.
FKING LOVE THAT SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Porcupine Tree are back making music! You have to react to their new single out yesterday.
Pick another on the album. Doesn't matter which one..Aaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnndd GO
swamp song or 4 degrees both criminally underrated Tool songs
Back when they were young, hungry and angry as hell.
Tool - Crawl Away
Rollins = Perfect
Bottom is a good choice off of undertow but id have to say Undertow is my favorite off the entire album that or Prison Sex
🤘🤘

Welcome to the spiral my friends. Open your brain to the depths of tool.
🤘🎧😜
Cattle Decapitation - The Unerasable Past
Don't be scared homies
209
Tool gives us music. All others only try to do that.
Just pooping in to say I would not be disappointed if you guys did Tool - Die Eier von Satan. It's a different one, but still great
That song to me is the first song that Tool would become famous for. 7-8 minutes of time changes and break downs Maynard screaming
Love me some Justin Chancellor but Paul D was a beast and you can see how Adams and Danny’s music writing and style helped both bass players sound epic. As good as both JC and Paul were it’s the bands style and inclusion of the Nasty bass playing is what makes them both as good as they were.

Personally I was a whole album voter, but that didn't happen..... so if you want a recom;

the album :) :)
also, I am not used to seeing you in so much light
Dude say “fuckin” outloud and proud🤘da fuk efin anyway:))

oh yeah, brain washing was strong in the 90's....there definitely needed more bands to spread the message back then....SPIRAL OUT, KEEP GOING
