Putting the Royal part aside. William was grieving the loss of his grandpa. Any boy/man would be upset about losing his grandpa. Grand parents are the best!
William was having hard time with his mother funeral. He almost wasn't able to walk behind her during her funeral procession. Philip asked if it would be easier if he walked with him. So Philip walked with William and helped him put his mother to rest and say his goodbyes. William called his grandfather a legend after that. They had a special bond.
@@crazierthings3022 Apparently throughout the procession Phillip was whispering different historic landmarks throughout the procession to help keep his mind off of what was happening. And would put his hand on William back in encouragement.

As a grown man, I cried at my Dad’s, Grandfathers and Grandmothers funerals and I haven’t got a problem with it. Men can still have emotions.

People forget every member of the Royal family are human with human feelings. I am sure William for one was trying to stay composed for the cameras despite losing his Grandfather who he was extremely close to. May God bless William and the rest of his family especially Queen Elizabeth during this difficult time. I hope the public allows them all to grieve in peace.

William loved his Grandfather, period. I can tell you my feelings with death is more painful with the living as they lose a loved one. Hearts are broken and lives will never be the same without their loved one and seeing people grieving is the worst. I can only imagine his heart was not only grieving for his grandfather, but for his Grandmother's heart and family.
Not to mention his arrogant brother, who missed 2 Christmasses visiting his grandfather. Then rocks up for the funeral! (And the will).

It appears that Charles and Andrew were in deep mourning for their father and were both very close to tears. And, they are only human and should not be faulted! William who was probably also very distressed, has as the future king developed a very stiff upper lip over the years. It was a very difficult day for all of them and thank god this intense scrutiny by the public is over!

The only body language experts I pay attention to are the men on the Behavior Panel, the RUclips channel. Body language is analyzed during interrogations of suspected criminals and terrorists. Your body often betrays what you say. Those guys are definitely legit.

Family is family. Some you just love from a distance. I believe this family needs and deserves privacy. They also need for people to mind their business and end all speculation about them. Their mom was a class act and she had to navigate through family and press to the bitter end. I'm sure that he was trying to maintain his solemn dignity in respect for the grandfather he loved and respected so that attention was given to his deceased grandfather.
Catherine, ever dutiful and loving, tried to instill peace between her husband and his brother at least for the day of the funeral and succeeded very well. She was once very close to Harry and knew that both brothers loved their grandfather who would have wanted an end to their feud. She's always a class act and her reputation is that of a sweet, loving and kind woman. Kudos to her for keeping the focus on Prince Philip and not on the estranged brothers (and also herself). Say what you will about the 10-year off-and-on courtship of her and William, but she understood that he wanted to make sure that she could handle the press scrutiny and her sole royal duties(William wouldn't always be by her side during royal engagements). William chose his bride wisely. She has earned the trust of the royal family and the public. She and William are a love match as well; their marriage wasn't arranged as was the case of Charles and Diana. (It seemed that Diana was the only one unaware of the arrangement until it was too late).
I feel this was very disrespectful, intrusive and should have never happened!

I don't think is so much as the are expected not to, but trying to be strong and private. 364 days a year, they belong to the public. One of the few things they have control over is what they show the public. Private emotions being one of them. The Queen is a symbol of strength. Even as a child during the war, she was on the radio telling the children of England to be strong.

I know how all of them felt, as losing both of my parents while in my 30s, this was a very hard pile to swoll, I cryed in side-tear, as I had young children also to look after.
