  • Welcome to another read-aloud. In honor of Disability Pride month, we are choosing books with disabled characters and themes around disability.

For our first read this month, we picked What Happened to You, illustrated by Karen George and written by James Catchpole, who wrote it based on the his own childhood experiences.
We love this book because provides it a valuable model for children of how better to talk to their disabled peers. For more about this book, keep an 👀 out for our Book of the Month!

❤️ Do you have books on your shelf at home that feature disabled characters? Let us know in the comments!
