You mean to tell me lol?. Really though, Ive bought over $2000 worth of detail stuff and I don’t own a detail business, just for personal use. You’re right about all the confusion these suppliers. There’s just too much info out there. Way to keep it simple👊!

You mean I don't need windshield wiper blade dressing, antennae polish and gas-cap ceramic sealant!?!
J/K! Great info. I do find a couple of other chemicals can speed things up (for me at least): wheel cleaner (been using P&S brake buster and like that for the most part but want to give Dark Fury a try), and P&S Bug Off, driving home from Tahoe it seems I almost always run into "clouds" of bugs on I-5 and those things can be stubborn to clean if I can't wash my jeep quick enough!

Great video for sure I’m going to have to do this for my mobile detailing rig.. this is especially good for mobile detailers because the limited space we have in our rigs. However one thing I may always keep is geyon tire cleaner or Adam’s wheel and tire cleaner. I don’t mind using apc’s on them but I love love LOVE when you spray them and they turn a different color to indicate that it’s grabbing the dirt.

I don’t think most people understand “need”.
I mean, chemical-wise, you don’t “need” anything more than a bottle of Dawn dish soap. Diluted properly, it pretty much covers everything you “need” it to. Dawn not your thing? Then grab a gallon of rinseless wash and it will be a better experience than just Dawn.
You don’t need a foam cannon or pressure washer or iron remover or tire dressing or blah blah blah’s. They’re “nice to haves” but definitely not “needs”.
    List of actual needs:
    Bucket
    Towels
    Hose
    Sprayer
    Vacuum
    Rinseless wash
    APC
That’s it. No, you don’t need glass cleaner or extractors or drill brushes or spray waxes.
Detailing is actually very simple. A lot of people complicate it unnecessarily.

@@christopherlevesque7919I quit detailing “trash” cars in the mid-90’s, my man. My philosophy is that if a person cares so little about their vehicles, why should I? I lost interest in those types of jobs because I’ve done so many of them over the decades.
Like I said, many just don’t understand the word “need” and how it applies to detailing. Do I need to use microfiber towels or can I just use a terry cloth towel like we did back when microfiber hadn’t even been invented or available to the USA. I mean, it is what it is and all that … but “need” shouldn’t be as subjective as it’s become.
Does having thousands of dollars worth of equipment, tools and chemicals help you get the job done easier and quicker? Yes, of course they do. But you’ll never convince anyone that they are required to get the job done. I know, because I have all those things in my arsenal.

100% agree with you. Dish soap is the best to get your car squeaky clean. Just dilute it properly and off you go. There's this 'horror story' about dish soap ruining your paint. It's not true. They say that because they want you to buy their products etc. My grandpa washed his car with nothing else than dish soap for over 40 years and the paint didn't fade or what so ever. Just make sure you put some protection afterwards and your good
I like your way of thinking🤜🤛

@@darrenmetal3338Myths about Dawn are hilarious, to me. It dries out the paint! It causes scratches! It leaves behind residue! It has no cleaning power! You want all those myths busted? Look at your dishes … does Dawn clean them? Does it scratch them? Does it dry them out or do you taste soap when you eat off them? Ridiculous and silly.
Do I recommend using Dawn as a professional detailer? No, of course not. Almost any car soap is going to be a superior experience. But they certainly aren’t “needed”.

I recently bought a bunch of chemicals and so far my favorite thing to use for aggression interior stanes has been Kirkland Professional dish soap diluted with warm water and a little bit of alcohol added. Make sure you test it first and get your ratio right. So far I haven't had any trouble I just make sure to condition the leather afterwards. Insanely cheap and extremely effective. People that restore leather seeds will tell you that the absolute best thing to clean leather seeds is 99% alcohol.
