Exactly 💯. It's just a hoot to drive I love it. I can just drive around the yard/house all day and not even care. I'm 10 calling out orders while driving around. LMBO 😂
I was looking at getting one and putting better tires and giving it a old trail truck patina because it's just so super scale, love the look and doing that would defeat the purpose it's great just how it is, glad you're enjoying it.
My friend has one too. The canvas top looks great but gets in the way of the rear mounted machine gun. The trailer is nice too. I also think there is a towable field gun and a leaf spring conversion. It's a beautiful thing, especially at that low price. Used to be at least $100 more at least.
24:30 and slow the speed to 50%. After a few minutes, I had a more clear picture of what it would be like hanging out in the canyon after hours. Too funny!
@@CrawlerCanyon There is a spot next to the back of the battery tray where you can lay it across the chassis rails and I used a magnet to hold it in place when not being used. I'm also going to use magnets to get rid of the body clips because they are a PITA to use. 🤓
good looking machine to say the least. very scale and quite accurate. most of these i've seen are usually slightly modified only in performance. I beleive RC4WD makes crawler compound military tires and wheels that will fit this wonderful machine. love the show keep us posted!
I will send you a picture of the one I bought so you can share it with the canyon. It does indeed fit a 12" GI Joe perfectly. I bought a General Patton that comes with his dog and 2 flags that all fit perfectly. The flags friction fit to the back loops. I also mounted a Captain America shield from a 6" figure to the spare tire that fits perfectly as well! $200 was such an awesome deal!! 🤓
The servo will definitely go farther-- but I can't figure out how to make any adjustement to CH1 and CH2 on this frustrating radio. The servo is also so slow as to make the Reedy 1523 seem like bottled lightning.
It was over a week late and the mirror was broken off. The shipping box was pretty bad and had been slammed. From what I could tell, the mirror was molded to the body. I didn’t even take it out of the package or unwrap it. I closed it back up, shipped it back.
I pulled them apart this morning, and they were all the way full... of mineral oil. And off the rig, they have basically zero damping. That will be addressed for sure.
@@CrawlerCanyonjust wondering have you tried the proline scaler shocks I have not seen it if you have. Just curious because they look good and would like to put them on something if they're ok. Just haven't heard anything about them really, or at least not anyone I trust.thank you for your channel.
@@joshuaspruce9209 perhaps things have improved over time, but every set of ProLine shocks I've ever experienced has leaked as badly as most of the other shocks under the Horizon umbrella Axial and when you add to that the fact that they're ~$60 a pair, it's a hard non-starter for me. Nothing out there is worth more than Dravtech money. Especially when you can cobble together semi-Dravtechs for under 50 bucks a set.
10-4 the $60 a set was stopping me. I'm blue collar diesel mechanic I have only the money I am allowed to have LMAO. In my wife's defense that's probably a good thing. I have just stuck with the desert lizards because they're so customizable and affordable. Money dictates my builds LoL

Im back. This definitetly should have gotten its fair shake on Mavericks. Most probably the slowest time but Scale Driving this thing through Mavericks would be possible. The biggest hang up would be the Skewers. Maybe next time.
@@CrawlerCanyon did you ever send me your info so i could send you the ARC2 ESC so you could do the shoot out? What should I be looking for as far as email?
Well, I have those exact wheels on another rig (Kronk) so I mgiht have to just swap them over and see. Engine noise would be amazing, but there's barely room for a battery under the body. I don't know if there's one out there small enough.
Yeah very cool, these things look great, I'm sure a real jeep must have decent off road capability but they're not rock crawlers. Just hold the wheel to full lock and the trim buttons become the end point.
The folks claiming it's "not a rock crawler" do not have an argument that holds any water. Because a typical Class 1 is less outfitted than this, and people seem to rock crawl those just fine. This Willys body weighs 2 lbs, while a 313mm WB hardbody Bronco can exceed 3lbs. What is it exactly that stops it from being a crawler? The skinny tires? Every RTR has substandard tires.
What was broken that couldn't be repaired? More importantly, how did it get broken when it comes in a giant styrofoam coffin? If your answer is simply "FedEx" I'll 100% understand.
What a beaut! One of those RC’s I’d love to have just for me. No one else needs to like it. It’s cool to me.

The rod is a body proprod
I've been using a 16" long CF tube. Now I fear I missed some place onboard to stow the included rod, which would be super handy.

What a fun episode… haven’t seen you this giddy even with a very capable rig… so cool to reminisce the GI Joe days.
I’m totally focused on the performance side of the hobby right now but Dan g I love these they looks so cool.
A fusion and tires. You will loose your mind. How much this transforms
I love this jeep
Thanks for the Quick view Mr Crawler, what ever happened to the Atlas, miss that lil guy...
it's always so nice to see scale trucks being tested on the Canyon grounds 😍

I guess I'm not the only one who put Patton in mine! I gave him an MP driver as his chauffeur 😂
@@Danimauled I hope he posts the pics I sent. The shield worked out even better than I imagined! 🤓
Some older gi Joe's or action men are too large for this jeep. Peace keeper doll range fit pretty well. Still a squeeze around the steering wheel.
@Danimauled hahahahah. I have a barbie made to move fir that. She's also a medic. Ww2 uniform as well.
Rc4wd has 1.9 military tires. Looks just like stock.
Called dukw, 45mm width. 101mm OD
I think the 101 height is gonna be a problem-- these are a full 4.75" tall. It would look like it was on temporary spares.
The dukw look too small on the 1/10 Gmade sawback ..so on this it would look odd
Fun with another thing 😊 the turning angle is hilarious 😜 if you get that steeper and a fusion 1200 this guy is the king 😊💪

he looks so good in the Canyon
That is cool 🤸♂️💯
That is one awesome looking Jeep 🤩
The kind of which one doesn't care if it performs or not...
Absolutely. I wouldn't care if it didn't even work!😂
Also read that the stock shocks are synonymous with stiction.

The rod is a prop to hold the body up as your under it
The best 1/6 scale rc.
Are you going to be reviewing the new FMS fcx10?
I knew you'd like it. I absolutely love mine so fricken cool. I also do not care that it's not a "crawler" it's so awesome i don't even care.
I'm still amazed at how well it did on the typical RTR gear, with a body that is easily half the weight of the vehicle.

Oops I meant Toyo’s
Pro-line or Jconcepts has a softer tire for this Jeep and that will help it perform better.
Kinda nobody really does. The closest is the Grunt from ProLine, but they’re only 4.4” tall. Everything RC4WD makes is either too short or too wide.

It’s only a matter of time before it gets some fusks, injora blues, and a fusion se. 😂
Its a great looking model but I couldnt drive it round in case I damaged it. It would be a shelf queen for me and I don't have any.
List of things this rig needs: 1, a driver. 2, some patina on it. If it gets scarred up, it's just gonna look better.
I've bought a few spare parts with that in mind. Recin my wing mirror will be first.
That’s so cool
Its so cool, not my style, but so cool!!!
I need to see it on 4.65/4.75 tires, at least to see how do they look
The extra shots at the end 🤩
Does googling 'Turbo Racing 91805G-VT 4-Channel Radio System' do anything for that steering angle? Or has it already been binned?🙃
Got mine yesterday but it came with the other controller way better it turns what seams to be 45 degrees
That is Nice. I like it.
About a name
It is either Patton or Luttenet Dan ,i think
how do you think the black 116g injora heavy rims would look on it. you need to get an electronic sound simulator for some engine noise

In it's real life it was never designed to be a "rock crawler"
But you have to acknowledge, the easy availability of them after the end of WW2 is pretty much how rock crawling was born.
