I don't know if this counts as a treasure hunt but at my local library I found a 1896 educational silver dollar as a bookmark. I bought it for $5 (they didn't want anything for it) and brought it down to my lcs and it was authentic but in a low grade. Still worth $150!
get it graded and it can be 10 times more

I found a 1968- s dime without the s in a mint set but it doesn't have a mirror finish. Can you explain why it isn't shinny
SHAUN!!! lol. I have a 1969 mint set with doubling on every coin in the set. The penny with the S mint mark has nice doubling on everything front and back (well, all letters and numbers). I don't know what to do. Should I put it on ebay for auction? If so, how much should I start the bid? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, I just spent this past weekend going through a jar of silver coins and a bowl of pennies. I came across two "1955 copper wheat pennies." Also, after looking at a RUclips video on profitable dimes which highlighted the 1987 unmarked dimes, I just so happened to find flip over a "1987 unmarked dime which is missing the "S" mark. My question is, "did San Francisco only stamp the letter for all dimes for that particular year?

I just bought approximately 30 penny proof rejects. I'm not sure let why they are rejects. Question is, I have 2 1959 and 2 1961 proof strikes, finish without S mint mark. Would these fall under this?

Blue ridge, sorry didn't catch your name. I have a uncirculated mint set from 1968. It came in a envelope from San Francisco the slug says bureau of the mint Philadelphia & San Francisco. The nickel has a "s" on it one penny has a "s" on it the quarter, the dime and the other penny have no markings? The set is in plastic with 6 sections, 5 coins and the slug? So is this what you are talking about in the video? This envelope had another set of coins from the Denver mint. Let me know what you think? All the other coins contain d marks

I have a 1956 P and 1954 S Jefferson Nickels that are in stunning shape and have no marks or scratches or anything. The 56 has a gray yellow tint and the 54 S a reddish gray tint. They are not cleaned because they have great detail and original luster. If I can send pictures to you of them can you tell me what grade they are and how much they would go for?

HELP! I am literally getting plagued with 1964 nickels like 100 in every box please keep and they are all worn almost slick. If we all pitch in even if you keep just half lets stop this waste of time with yet another 64.
