This is what I loved about the first two. They had their share of both sad and funny moments - as opposed to the newer ones which have nothing but contrived stupidity the whole way through.
Umbra Magister IKR? I still can't understand why people call the first ones "too serious." I guess it's because they forced players to actually use their brains to see the humor in it - as opposed to 3 and 4 which just shoves the pseudo-humor in your face and insults your intelligence.
HE Gaming Yup, no more awesome parts in those games at al... Fighting the giant can of energy drink whilst flying in a helicopter piloted by the bloke who is shit scared of the energy drink can to such a degree that he has nightmares about and then inserting yourself into a giant statue to have a one-on-one fight with the energy can as two titans of the world... That wasn't awesome at all. Nor was the entire concept of the simulation; being able to run at speeds to make Sonic the Hedgehog jealous, flying into the air, running up buildings and dropping a bunch capable of causing a nuclear explosion is also not awesome. And the fights with the wardens, those were so low-key, they weren't interesting, tense, challenging and fun at all!
it also has on foot radio and cooler weapons a gold gdhc vs kobra or a as12 riot verus as12 ultimax er that weird shotgun also a platnium t3k urban and rpg it was awesome better then saints row 2
Saints Row & Saints Row 2 used to be so good... I'm frustrated as to how different and downhill it went with 3 & 4... What happened to these storylines... The real shit..
Yeah true. I'm also looking forward to the 2015 games. Which games in particular do you have high hopes for? I was thinking of buying the new The Witcher, even though I haven't played the previous..
Am i the only person here that thinks julius was a good man he just wanted to help stillwater from the drug pushin cop and innocent killin madness that goes on.. Does anyone else agree?
Yeah, I think Dex and Troy made him join Ultor, as Troy is the Chief of Police, and Dex is and Ultor guard. I'm guessing this because otherwise Troy would have Julius arrested again. (Yes he mentions getting arrested in the files in the police station)
Agreed and when he shot Julius to me that proved the main character was an ambitious villain and saints row games should of done more with troys character on taking down the saints making both troy and the leader of the saints both playable characters and depending on your choices determine who would of live and died I honestly think that would of been better then fighting fucking alien's
OK call me a dick but Julius could of asked the protagonist if he would drop his flags and walk away(not that he would), instead of planting a bomb on some guys yacht just to nearly kill the protagonist. Seems like Julius has been the villain all this time.
that "You owe me playa" chilled me. it was like my character forgot where he came from. i was thought the boss and Julius had a father/child relationship so this scene made me sad. Its scenes like this that remind me that despite the humor this game can get serious as hell when you think back.
The thing in the beginning of the first Saints Row is that it wasn’t technically Julius who saved Playa from being gunned down by the Vice King. It was actually Troy who killed the VK who was about to kill Playa, so Julius’ argument with the Playa in the final mission of Saints Row 2 where he claims he owes him for saving him has no substance, but it’s kind of good that the Playa doubles down on him by saying if it wasn’t for Julius, he wouldn’t have been in a coma.
i feel bad for johnny gat :( in saints row 1 he was shot in the knee,in all three saints row games he is shot at numerous times,in saints row 2 and 3 he was stabed, and finally in saints row 3 he was filled with bullets and died, damn what a way to go
Oskar Tyden I wished they would of did something with that like have it be a reoccurring theme that the boss was becomeing a psycho and power hungry the story was actually going to elebrate some more on why the bomb was planted originally the player would of killed ben kings nephew off screen and this would cause him to exact revenge by planting a bomb on the yacht the animators were to lazy to capture a mocap shoot of julius running broken and bloody so they made him the perpetrator and caused the events of him getting killed
He probably would've died on the way anyways but yeah, that scene REALLY made you wanna kill I Am Weasel- ..I mean, Maro... what-ever his name was. Also, agreed. Julius didn't deserve to die.
@iNFaMoUzZxHD Julius Little, former leader of the Saints. In the ending of Saints Row he blows up a boat you're standing on and you're in a coma for five years.
Thank you so much for making this. I always thought saints row 2 was better than saints row the third. Saints row the third had way too many jokes and i felt like it didnt take the story too seriously
Saints Row significantly went downhill after 2 in many eyes of ture fans, all of these moments are what made the first two games great in the entire franchise. 3 could have done something special like these having a more realistic and serious story but unfortunately it didn't only because people couldn't stop calling it a gta clone and then went with the unrealistic theme and silly tone of how the storyline changed and turned out now these days.
@Timmy1Boii1Eraser the old guy on the floor was Julius there is a mission where you are in a police station, i forget why, but there are tapes of Troy talking to Julius about what happened to your character at the end of the first saints row hidden in one of the rooms. the tapes are not the main objective in the mission so you have to look for them on your own. once you listen to all the tapes you unlock the mission with Julius in it
@Ryan Moore Because it didnt matter if he got him off or not. Carlos' face wqs most likely ripped off from being dragged at 50mph+ on asphalt. The Boss couldnt save him so he/she put him out of his misery.
I wish you had choices on who to kill in SR1 and SR2. Especially Mayor Winslow, Warren, Tonya, Showgo, and Julius. Maybe, you rescued Julius by breaking him out and avoiding the explosion on the boat, etc.
Connor Murphy Well thats your opinion i personally enjoyed saints row 3 and 4 even if the story went completely crazy i mean now i like saints row 2 out of all of them and also this comment was posted back in 2014 so my opinion of this has changed alot.
Saints Row 1 and 2 were great because they knew how to mix seriousness, dark humor, action, storyline, and gameplay all into one. It made you want to play. In Saints Row the third, it just went for unrealistic action and simply killed off the best character, Gat, making you just want to quit.
Nice vid. You did a great job. Whatever you say, i'm proud of the SR series. At least they were able to make a game. I love all the games and will love the fourth.
He said if it wasn't for Julius he wouldn't have been in a coma like Julius said if it wasn't for him he would of been dead on that street corner in SR 1
@Unleashedpwr yeah i can't remember his name but he was voiced by the same person. who also voiced captain anderson from Mass effect. and the Arbiter from Halo.
hes patched up in the hospital, you have to break him out cuz the ronin are after his ass, he gets to the hospital cuz a saint and the boss drive him there, you gotta fight alot of ronin filled cars to get there and have no control of the car, you ride shotgun and blast em all till you reach the hospital.
@BlackArchAngel787 The bomb on the boat wasnt the bomb aiming to stop the saints. I forgot why Julius planted the bomb on the boat. And when your character is holding a gun to Julius's head in the church, he says "I didn't have time to plant a bomb in the church, so this'll have to do".
(Read previous comment) In a cutscene of news, the anchorlady says the remains of the plane were NOT found. If the plane crashes in the waters, why after I'm Free - Free Falling we see Loren and the girls at the room where Gat,Shaundi and the Boss were tied to chairs? In saints row 4 you actually have powers because of the fact that you are in a virtual (virtual) reality world that gives you the powers, so not entirely fake given that you aren't some ghetto turned superhuman with powers roaming the world.
dont you get that happens into a special world like in the missions when you fight whit the blue and black costume ninjas but this time its about actually some aliens , but they dont all come , they are just passing

in SR 4 you will be able to meet Johnny Gat , Carlos , Julius and others by just being in your mind , i mean its gonna be awesome , my first impresion was exactly like yours playa , but when the game is going to appear its gonna be cool , trust me :)
I have no doubt that he's dead, but I have a feeling that they're going to say in Saints Row 4 that he jumped out, and that the bullets were going after him. Not to mention the fact that I didn't see his corpse upon capping Loren. Plus the fact that he's a fucking badass.
"Being in charge is better than being a bitch who keeps his mouth shut and does what he's told" - The Boss
Rest In Peace Carlos and Carlos was my favorite character in Saints Row 2 and will always be my favorite
Carlos was mi favorite all the way
Same, I know a really sad video about Carlos, type: "How to save a life Carlos and Aisha"
+HE Gaming and it's made byRedDfan1
Gabriel Barrera why cant hispanics have life in games
Gabriel Barrera me too
Still coming back to this in 2024. This video always pops back up in my mind
Fucking same homie!
Yup
yupp
This is what I loved about the first two. They had their share of both sad and funny moments - as opposed to the newer ones which have nothing but contrived stupidity the whole way through.
+Little Green Gamer Yes, Saints Row 4 has absolutely no serious, nor even sad moments in the game at all, nope, none.
Umbra Magister IKR? I still can't understand why people call the first ones "too serious." I guess it's because they forced players to actually use their brains to see the humor in it - as opposed to 3 and 4 which just shoves the pseudo-humor in your face and insults your intelligence.
Little Green Gamer Yes, the earlier games were indeed very intellectual, they didn't use highly obvious humour AT ALL!
+Umbra Magister I know, the only awesome parts in those games are Spoiler alert: Saving Johnny and going back to Old Stilwater to rescue King.
SR2 is simply the best Saints Row
Saintsrow 1 is it has the best music
@@ethanblair7351 totally agree, especially The Faction and GenX
it also has on foot radio and cooler weapons a gold gdhc vs kobra or a as12 riot verus as12 ultimax er that weird shotgun also a platnium t3k urban and rpg it was awesome better then saints row 2
@@ethanblair7351 I honestly think, they are equally good, SR2 is a great successor.
Let's all be real saints row 2 has the best story and saints row 1 has the best music
I actually liked carlos lin and aisha
me to
Same, but I didn't really care about Lin, the saddest ones for me were definately SPOILER: Julius, non spoiler, Carlos.
me to
I use to love this game
Damn, I think we all did.
Saints Row 1: Gangster and Territory
Saints Row 2: Reborn of Saints
Saints Row 3: The Mafia
and the others are pure shit.
@AshTheFlash100 holy shit my comment was five years ago
@AshTheFlash100 yep
Saints Row & Saints Row 2 used to be so good... I'm frustrated as to how different and downhill it went with 3 & 4... What happened to these storylines... The real shit..
Games just aren't as good as they use to be. Especially this generation of games so far, tho I am optimistic for 2015 games
Yeah true. I'm also looking forward to the 2015 games. Which games in particular do you have high hopes for? I was thinking of buying the new The Witcher, even though I haven't played the previous..
Halo, The Division, The Witcher, Kingdom Hearts 3, Rainbow Six, and No Mans Sky.
arwin T. Too funny
3 has a good story the f*cked up with 4
I can’t believe it’s already been 13 years since this vid came out, I often come back to it to remember saints row in a special way ❤️🩹
What if he never woke up from his coma and everything he's gone through since Saints Row 2 was just a dream?
me and my friend were literally just talking about that !
explains why the last games are crazy as all hell
Chris Tapia fuk u mean its a dream
Saints row 1 is crazy too.
I littarly talked yesterday about that

I want it remastered and more mission's and activitie's cause its boring when you finished the whole game but i still luv it
yo if pierce is the funniest bodmon. mans was singing ne-yo on one of the missions. cracked up so bad i couldnt do the mission properly
This game was my childhood, so many good memories
I won't lie, this video makes the main character seem like the main antagonist, especially when julius died
This video brings back my memories of 2012 :)
JadFox696 2013 for me

Lol, imagine if he was shooting Gary.

XD Yes! Bully 2
That's jimmy when he moves to stilwater and joins the westside rollers. :P

dam right Julius should have never tried to kill us at the end of saint row 1
Omg.nice bringing back memories
He probably would've died on the way anyways but yeah, that scene REALLY made you wanna kill I Am Weasel- ..I mean, Maro... what-ever his name was. Also, agreed. Julius didn't deserve to die.
RIP Carlos
I actually almost cried on the scene where he was dying :'(
Julius was cool I wish it was a small time member of Saints who did that.If it wasn't for him we would have died on that street cornor
Saints row is my most favorite game to play
@iNFaMoUzZxHD Julius Little, former leader of the Saints. In the ending of Saints Row he blows up a boat you're standing on and you're in a coma for five years.
It's funny, because the reason Julius betrayed the boss, is because the animators and directors were lazy

I like saints row 1 and 2 more than 3 and 4
Yeah, 3 and 4 are more wacky and celebrity like, when 1 and 2 were the proper games, you actually feel like a gangster
HE Gaming yea they were better, but you gotta remember that at that point in time they were still trying to branch off from gta
Agree the saints row the third was ok 4 was just complete shit
Chocolate PLAYZ same
I hate 3 and 4 because gat dies in one of them and he's my fav character
@Ryan Moore Because it didnt matter if he got him off or not. Carlos' face wqs most likely ripped off from being dragged at 50mph+ on asphalt. The Boss couldnt save him so he/she put him out of his misery.
Best storyline 👌

@@angediamond5154 honestly I much more prefer the first 2 games now
12 years bro…
la verdad un gran juego saints row 2 de la saga el q más me gusto el 4 y 3 era como una versión más graciosa un no me gusto mucho
huh, this video age well.
Saints Row 1 and 2 were great because they knew how to mix seriousness, dark humor, action, storyline, and gameplay all into one. It made you want to play. In Saints Row the third, it just went for unrealistic action and simply killed off the best character, Gat, making you just want to quit.
Memories of beating all the Saints Rows in order.
How much you wanna to bet that it was hard to put Carlos out of his misery.
damn 14 years
The song is actually "Pieces" by the band Red but this is the instrumental version.
i would have ruined his vocal cords so i couldnt hear anymore of his excuses then walk away
dude this game is great even better with flashbacks great job
In the sr4 you go back in time to meet your past homies.
Rip saints row i wil never leave you i mean it 😥 i love you
That's what the lead writer said. He wants to go back to the dark gang feel that was in SR2 and 1. SR4 is gonna be brutal.
I know it was hard to see Carlos dying like that , but the thing is it posible for Carlos to be in SR 4 with Gat and others
No matter how many sad things i see on youtube nothing will beat Dead Island trailer
that was a great idea ading the flashback of when julius saved him that was brilliant
This game made my original character arc
Nice vid. You did a great job. Whatever you say, i'm proud of the SR series. At least they were able to make a game. I love all the games and will love the fourth.
I literally almost cried when Carlos died
He said if it wasn't for Julius he wouldn't have been in a coma like Julius said if it wasn't for him he would of been dead on that street corner in SR 1
the song's called RED - Pieces
love it watch it over and over
this was me EXACTLY after julius died
Me: THAT'S NOT HOW I FREAKING ACT!
IM A KILLER WITH A CONSCIENCE,DAMNIT
From 0:44 to 2:15! In my Video Game there wasn't such a scene. Where did you get it?
this was placed 2gether perfectly
i was waiting for julius to say RAMIEREZ! aim down your sights!
Shows you how much Saints Row 2 is the best in the franchise.
Johnny Gat is no more. There is only Johnny TAG.
sadist bit is when saint gets draged behing pickup
man.. never have I ever thought a saints row game would almost make me tear up.
I literally ALWAYS do when I watch the Carlos death.
HE Gaming Yeah man. Julius was one of my favorite SR1 characters besides Johnny Gat
The song is Red-Pieces .I will give you a hug man.
@Unleashedpwr yeah i can't remember his name but he was voiced by the same person.
who also voiced captain anderson from Mass effect.
and the Arbiter from Halo.
I seriously hope that Johnny Gat will be in Saints Row 4.. He was the best character ever to be in a videogame.
hes patched up in the hospital, you have to break him out cuz the ronin are after his ass, he gets to the hospital cuz a saint and the boss drive him there, you gotta fight alot of ronin filled cars to get there and have no control of the car, you ride shotgun and blast em all till you reach the hospital.
I remember this when it was new
@BlackArchAngel787 The bomb on the boat wasnt the bomb aiming to stop the saints. I forgot why Julius planted the bomb on the boat. And when your character is holding a gun to Julius's head in the church, he says "I didn't have time to plant a bomb in the church, so this'll have to do".

nice vid man did i see you use my female character from my vid in there nice!!!
nice video and beautiful song !!
Yea cuz ultor existed in SR1 as a clothing company then the owner turned it into a military/police thing in SR2
In saints row 4 you actually have powers because of the fact that you are in a virtual (virtual) reality world that gives you the powers, so not entirely fake given that you aren't some ghetto turned superhuman with powers roaming the world.
awsome man u should do this for more games
Fuck, with this song it's even more sadder... the Julius part made me almost cry ;-;
@Unleashedpwr he is the voice actor for him, also the commander from mass effect
"your a gerneraal? did you hear that, that ass whole... oh shit"
These moments is what made saints row 1 and 2 better than 3 and 4
Even by gang standards, that's fucking low to attack a funeral
Carlos' Death is the saddest death. He had an awesome future ahead of him, but the Brotherhood fucked it up!
dont you get that happens into a special world like in the missions when you fight whit the blue and black costume ninjas but this time its about actually some aliens , but they dont all come , they are just passing
Maybe I'm missing something but how's "Boss" being high in The General's Limo [While funny as hell] sad? Otherwise, dayum, this was really well done.
LOL just b4 the boat blows up the guys wearing a cowboy hat
such a sad game i will never forget it was such a funny game i have downloaded the dlc but saddly i started turning my ps3 of by plug and it broke so i had to start again i probably wont finish it again but will always remember this game saddest game ever to me i miss you carlos or as my player says it galos
My favourite SR2 moment had to be when johnny and the boss was beating the hell out of the guy at the graveyard.
@riversidegangster64 its called pieces by red instrumental version
This vid is so good man its so sad
really good video dud makes me wanna go and replay sr2 again
Well I guess he somewhat came back. I think, if you count the clone DLC.
in SR 4 you will be able to meet Johnny Gat , Carlos , Julius and others by just being in your mind , i mean its gonna be awesome , my first impresion was exactly like yours playa , but when the game is going to appear its gonna be cool , trust me :)
the reasonwhy they made saint row 3 is to make it serious and to have a good humor
I have no doubt that he's dead, but I have a feeling that they're going to say in Saints Row 4 that he jumped out, and that the bullets were going after him. Not to mention the fact that I didn't see his corpse upon capping Loren. Plus the fact that he's a fucking badass.
