- In this episode, we show you around HARS Aviation Museum, located in Albion in Shellharbour, on the NSW coast. HARS is run by an all-volunteer group of Aviation Professionals and Enthusiasts, where their HARS collection showcases many historic aircraft including the Catalina, Caribou, P-2 Neptunes, Tiger Moth, Victa Airtourer and an F-111C, among others. We take you around the museum and share our thoughts. And luckily, the place is pet-friendly too!
We hope you enjoy our channel. We enjoy part-time van life, creating weekly episodes that are live at 5pm (AEST) on Sundays, and sharing our experiences on our travels with our cavoodle, Twyla. Really interesting. I’ve been past there a million times but never been in. There was a Royal Mail plane hit the ground in Western Queensland many, many years ago, I should imagine it was a smaller plane though. My dad told me about it, he came from Longreach. My aunt, dad’s sister, was the first Qantas secretary. Dad told me some great stories about Qantas, but my dad was a great story teller so who knows how truthful they were. He’d be 106 if he was still alive but he did see the start of Qantas. Ta for a great video Deno. 🥰. PS. There’s another one of these at HMAS Albatross in Nowra.

That was a really interesting tour of the aviation museum. I went to the one up in Longreach QLD about 9 years ago

ITS A WONDERFUL museum, and you should try and visit for one of the annual Airshows when lots of Vintage aircraft complete air shows and aircraft visits.
And yep remember so many of the great Air Hostess Uniforms (now called Flight Attendants 🤷🏻♀️😂)
