Everybody knows that McBain is obviously a parody of Arnold schwarzenegger. Some people might not know that in real life, James Cameron actually poured acid on Arnie to simulate the effect of smoke and fire when filming the first Terminator film.
5:18 I love how Mcbaine was the target but his partner got in the way, and even though he WASNT the intended target they CONTINUE to shoot at the wrong person 😂
5:31 I've always laughed out loud to the flat, "Yes." The script probably had a question mark. He delivers in like he doesn't even understand the situation. It's perfect.
There was very little continuity in the first 15 or so seasons. Like season one showed Homer as semi competent. Marge got drunk at the company picnic. Ned Flanders was a showy businessman who flaunted it with a big RV and a ton of Christmas decorations. Those are things that disappeared from then on. The few bits of continuity are Homer's job as Safety Inspector in sector 7-G and Apu's marriage and children.
If anyone's curious, the episode cuts to Monty laughing maniacally at an employee hanging to their death outside his window, before he turns around and the guy falls.
The “Up and at Them/ Up and Atom” Scene must be a reference to the Terminator where Swarzenegger wanted to say “I will be back,” because he thought that robots wouldn’t use contractions. But James Cameron just told him to say what he wrote.
Wow the best..by a country mile ..ive gven a like..goe's to show..ha ha..we get it..jim.Jarmusch..fellow members we get it..allgood thats somthing id not of noticed..thank yoi.lol.p.in.nz.😂
I get that Mcbain is a parody of Schwarzenegger. But why didn't the Simpson's do a parody of Sly. His movies are even more reprehensible than Arnie's. They should have slam dunked him. 😮.
My new greatest fear is that a woman will walk up to me after I do something and say "You certainly broke up that meeting" and then I don't follow up with that zinger.
The amount of criticism Simpsons did using Schwarzenegger's picture is brilliant. Like everything they ever did in the old days. But the Simpsons movie had to change his name.
What would it be now? Probably nothing, since streaming and digital download are popular, though there are still DVDs and Blu-rays out there (including 4K Ultra HD).
18:11 “ hey, your early porno movies…are any of these hetero???” “What’s there is there” Kills me every time, especially since we saw earlier him calling his audience gay lol
“Help! My Son is a Nerd” sounds like it could be a legit good movie about an alpha male father coming to terms with his son’s identity. I kind of want to see it get made.
@@kamerlort yeah granted Ooter was underdeveloped as hell, but we could have maybe gotten an episode where say Wolfcastle seeing a bit of himself in the kid(he was stated to be a Bavarian creampuff as a kid) and seeing how he us bullied and regarded he tries to toughen the kid up, but comes to realize maybe he shouldn't? I dunno would have made a nice side character exploration episode like we are getting nowadays.

I'm not going to lie, back in his prime, it would have been sweet if Ole Arnold was in a mcbain type movie. It's a combination of some his work, Die hard, and Lethal weapon.
It was probably one of many reasons why the show didn't last long. And, if his line on the episode where everyone in town tries to run for mayor about being the son of a Nazi is correct, then Obergrupperfurher Wolfcastle may be his father.
I like the subtle layer of stupid with the Radioactive Man scene where he gets washed away in acid, specifically how no one on set had any plans to keep Rainier out of danger beyond Milhouse being there to act out the scene.
The best parts are when the McBain movies have a shot of his gun in the foreground like at 5:30 or 9:03 where the animators draw the shot as if it's shot with a wide angle lens.
"My eyes! The goggles do nothing!" -Rainer Wolfcastle as Radioactiveman
My favorite line, I was going to leave that comment but you can have it.

And McBaine just sits and watches as his partner is continued to be shot, and waits until the guy rides away before returning fire

Makes sense that he would have to look that close after what happened to his eyes during the filming of Radioactive man. The goggles did nothing

This show taught me that if I’m ever a cop and I’m going to retire I should take my whole last week off
But doesn't the week before that vacation week become your "last week" then?

Was this common knowledge in the early 90s though?
I think it was just mocking how. Arnold can’t speak English after 50 years in America!😂😂😂
I think Arnold was right

Finally a compilation that has good editing. Thanks.
I thought his Woody Allen impression was spot on!
Lol
And the guy that said "That really sucked!" is in fact Woody Allen. You can see his thick rimmed glasses fly at 4:28 after McBain threw the grenade
The problem with it is that it's a grievous slander. And younger audiences will come to know woody through this.
Literally watched this like five times. This is very well done with superior editing.

also don't work as a square on a beach.
Most people cut out relevant parts and punchlines. Pretty good editing here.
