For the toe towel crunches, I've found after a few weeks adding weight useful. Most I've done there is additional four pounds though I think this really helps! Love the toega...thanks!
Wow!! I need to do this "toega" regularly for my poor toes and feet that have had all the pressures and hits for all those years!!! Thanks a lot, coach Morgan!!! 👍👍👍
After having hip and glute pain for 20 years and no matter what I tried, nothing helped. Then I saw something on RUclips that said strengthen feet to help your whole body. Started doing stretches and exercises for my feet but what really made a difference is barefoot shoes or minimal shoes. 24 hours after using these shoes the hip pain went away and has never come back! My feet and ankles are so much stronger and I feel great. Oh btw I am 72 years old, never too late to improve.
I'll be sharing this with our competitors in the UK, great exercises during lockdown for people to sort out lower leg injuries and ideal time to build strength when people can't get out for longer runs
My favourite foot exercise is to take bucket marble glass balls or those OG wooden laundry pins pile them on the floor and them put them back with my feet alternating . I can guarantee you be tired after two or three dozens :D
The "toega" is going to take some practice, my guys work as a team and it's hard to isolate them. Any exercises to prevent plantar fasciitis is a go from me. I've had that before and it is not fun. Great video Coach Morgan!!
It took me some time to be able to move big toe of my left foot (right leg was not a big issue), a great exercise I haven't even thought about, there are so many muscles with neural pathways deteriorate because of using shoes..
I was just thinking about making my feet stronger and your video showed up! Doing the first two exercises is hard for me, I don't seem to have great individual control of my big toe. Will just have to keep on practicing.
My secret to strong feet and ankles is playing soccer since I was a kid, playing hacky sack for many years, and having run around barefoot my whole life. I can roll my ankles while running without hurting them. I've never done special exercises, other than sometimes walking on the sides of my feet. Going barefoot as much as possible. That's the most important part. It will teach you how to walk on your toes. Just doing that will help. But because of my good balance, I can tie one shoe while standing on the other foot and I can open doors with a barefoot.
✨🌟🦋Thanx TRE for great realistic tips that can be done just about anywhere🦶🦶 Great content in just the right amount of time🙌🙌 P.s. snippets of yer dog 🐶 chillin...luv it😄
Thanks for the awesome tips! Doing the exercise with the lacrosse or tennis ball is a good thing to do while sitting down at the job like I do for long periods of time. Getting up and walking on my toes is a good thing as well. Thankfully I work alone and no one will see me walking around like that! haha
Love these videos!!!! Any advice for someone with Morton’s neuroma. I’ve had orthotics made but do you know of any stretches, exercises that might help??
thank you, nice and useful video. I have a question for you, from the sole of your shoes I guess you are using altra running shoes, I would like to try them, but I do not know which model to go for. I usually run in the adidas adios, I like light and not so cushioned. which shoes would you suggest to start to go natural? my end goal is to run once a week into the Vibram 5fingers, but I tried and I am not there yet, my feet are too soft :). by the way, your feet are really nice.
I was told I have plantar fasciitis a few years ago now but I haven't been able to get it to go away and it still causes me some discomfort while running today. Is there anything I can do to help relive this pain?
Try rolling the bottom of the foot with a ball as shown in the video. Easy pressure if discomfort. If you find a tender spot, put easy pressure there for 30 secs or a minute. You could also try a "Trigger Point Performance Nano LTE Foot Roller Massage Roller."
Morgan: Toe Yoga, start by lifting your big toe only Me: ah yea I've done these before no problem... Morgan: Now, press your big toe down and lift the 4 pinkies... Me: WTF! How do you do that!!!!
While barefoot sit on something tall where your feet can dangle then do leg raises. You can touch your chest with you knees or just lift them toward your face.
Pretty sure Nate has a video on that. Look for video on tying running shoes or maybe the perform4 life series. Tie a runners loop. ruclips.net/video/-DVpUTpdwIE/видео.html 4:00
This could absolutely be because of your shoes being too small. It is suggested to get running shoes almost a size larger than your normal shoes, or have at least a thumbnails worth of room at the top. This could also be from your running form, some people tend to land heavy on their toes, causing the big toe to jam into the shoes with each step!
@@TheRunExperience at 49 I really hope i can get stronger... looking forward to doing these and to find more ankle and foot exercises on your app! THANK YOU!

Good informative video. The feet often go "unloved" in place of the large leg muscle groups. Its good to see how to give life back to them!

Loves from Turkey. I love you all.
Only zero drop shoes. Only. Very important.
Whoa, Coach Morgan's big toe lift/four toe lift is actually quite remarkable.

I like her calm narration.
Everywhere people talking about “how to pump biceps”
But no one’s care about toes
Good stuff, I need more that kind of video
Please make a video for us folks with low arches and wider feet.

It takes a lot of practice, keep trying!
Can we get one on ankle strength and mobility please
Yes!!! Please!
I second that. Ankles are my weak spot.
Check out channel for foot and ankle strength. We have a few vids already on that :-)

Coach Nora's feet need some loving too! Thanks Coach Morgan, my weak feet have been giving me some issues lately so this'll help

It's funny how you pointed out the index fingers rise when trying to access the big toes. SO TRUE!!!
Coach Morgan!!!💪
Thank you SO much for instructing this, all the best thru the summer of 2021

Even the first try feels different, I was so bothered to have overpronation. I hope with these exercises my condition improves.
Thanks for the video. Great content. I am adding to my exercises.
Tarantino approves this thumbnail for sure.

Maybe you should look at austin goh stretches, it really helped me.
Thanks nice effort
Hi 🙂. Loved your video 👍. Everything helps. Was also curious, what ever happened to coach Elizabeth ? Thanks 🙂.
Beautiful surroundings! Where is this?
San Francisco - presidio area!

Mas Ia Hi there! Coach Morgan here - I’m an avid Altra footwear user! I’d suggest trying the Escalantes, they are mid cushioned and nice and light.
How often, coach? Couple of times per week?
@The Run Experience how do I avoid foot cramps during plantar flexion?
Is that the Presidio?
I started running since the lockdown started, and am starting to experience pain in the bone connected to my big toes. Any advice?
That also help for prevent blisters? :-)
Great video! What's the name of the featured dog?
Coach Nora!
Its called Currex runpro. Thats how you help your feet.
Just wonder. Does jumping with rope work to make feet stronger.
Absolutely

Is this in SF across from the Disney museum?

whos here because it mentioned feet
Why do my nails fall apart in one piece after a long run?
Your shoes might not fit.

Great video, but that second toe....???? Major props for having the courage to show your feet. True runners feet are never pretty.
🥰🥰🤤
That big toe lift...having trouble isolating that muscle 🤣
try manually pushing it down with your fingers, and relax, don’t strain too hard, it will work eventually!
Breaking the rules..........
You can avoid all this just my walking barefoot. Walking in sand is the best exercise for your feet. I love running barefoot.
.... I've been using my feet for 52 years, they can't get any stronger than now.
fiveticks you know no matter our age we can always improve, almost always get stronger!

The definition of stuck in your ways.
I could lift my 4 toes easily even on the first try but after 3 months I still can't lift my big toe; 1-2 toes always follow.
Get sme Nike running shoes they help protect ya feet wen u run
Thank you so much for this!! I really appreciate the exercises.
