10 months after this podcast and they ended up in top 2, 15 points clear of 5th place. Vardy bagged 17 goals from 19 appearances. Top 4 is pretty much guaranteed.

It might not be your thing to do a podcast on. But could you do a podcast on the years 2006-2009 in the football League. The problems at clubs because it was several teams who got point deductions. I am very interested in the luton town case but its not much to find about it. Would love it if you guys could help me❤️❤️

Might be on my own with this, but I was really disappointed by the defeatist attitude of Leicester straight after winning the title. Sure it was a surprise that they won it but you can't deny they were the best side in the league that season and most of their key players weren't one season wonders, so for them to not aim for top four the season after was just really disappointing for me and I think played a large part in their collapse that season.
I agree but bear in mind we were loosing some of the key players the following season. Both Kante and Drinky were essential components in that squad and kante especially is close to impossible to replace.
@@sheikhyaboooty I completely agree, but I'd say that the attitude of the squad straight after winning the title will have played a part in the players leaving. I mean, if you're kante and the premiership winners tell you Europa League is as good as it's gonna get, of course you'd want to go to Chelsea. A bit more ambition and Leicester might have kept hold of their players I think. Obviously I don't know the whole story but that's what makes sense to me

I think its unfair to suggest Jamie Vardy is "ageing". He didn't rise to prominence between 18-21 as most players did, so he still has a good few years left in him.

Good podcast! But, I think importantly, you forgot to mention the new training ground that is being developed.
The point with Rodgers leaving us at Celtic is that he jumped ship ASAP on the eve of a massive few days, with a league game against Hearts at Tynecastle and the Scottish Cup quarter-final v Hibs at Easter Road. He also took 14(!) backroom staff with him, essentially leaving Celtic to scramble and assemble people for the game on Wednesday.
99% of Celtic fans ARE grateful for what he's done for the club (you'd be crazy not to), but to walk out on us like that when Leicester were willing to wait until the summer leaves a bad taste in your mouth. He's also said A LOT of things when he was promoting his book that weren't true...
He could have left a Celtic legend, instead he chose to leave a fraudulent legacy behind...

I think leicester have an exciting CB in Benkovic, the lad is on loan this season in celtic, meaning rodgers is familliar with him. He's quite comfortable on the ball and quite confident, if he doesn't get ruined by injuries he might have a great future at leicester.

LaxGoalie248 not really. Unless we wanted to replace 7 or 8 of the team that massively over performed but that wasn’t realistic. Maybe if we had signed gueye which looked likely but Claudio didn’t want him then we could have been top 7 but I don’t see it
