Odd number punches is to be used in double rotary machines,
Reason:
1. To balance the dynamic balance of machine
2. Machine is designed to maintain with Equal pressure balances ( as we know Rollers are there in both sides) in both left and right hand sides.
3. To maintain Equal pressure balances in both sides and to avoid the double impression of tablet.
