Hello, i bought 3 philips hue play bars and hue hub to improve immersion on my monitor. But after i saw several homemade led strip demos like yours, i realize that they are individually adressable and even i still couldn't have time to setup my hue play bars, i am impressed by the result of yours. Because i was thinking to buy a few more play bars in order to have more different colors on backround which could enrich the immersion. So should i sell my hues and setup something like yours? I don't know if it worths.
Also do you have any loss on fps while gaming?

Hello there! Philips hue is great but expensive and not the best if you want to create ambilight sort of effect.
If you have the time and the tools go for the arduino diy project.
There are no fps drops, I did the same project for my son which plays on a ryzen 3 2400g + amd 480 and it works great!
Just be ready to do some troubleshooting and some research while working on the project :)
