    Another brilliant video, very informative.
    In my opinion the compressed air on the background could have been avoided.

    Very interesting video!
    I'm going to research more about what you're saying about hollow grinding and the shape of the plate and what shape it actually grinds into the blade as opposed to flat sharpening even if the example I'm looking at is an extreme exaggeration. I think I know what kind of shape hollow grinding produces in these blades but I'm just not sure, a picture is worth a thousand words.

    Hello, this is a very detailed illustration of how to sharpen clipper blades on a flat 18'' wheel disc at 1.5 pound of pressure. If I use a 10'' wheel I suppose I should use less pressure unlike the 18'' wheel - Kindly advise.

    Why do your plates have tiny casting holes in surface? Is there any benefit to them?

    • @TheEdgePro
      @TheEdgePro  2 года назад +4

      Earl, we really appreciate your question! We use the same technology as the three main domestic factories and the wheels they create for how we leave the porosity. The purpose of the porosity is to help bond grit to the surface. You see the big holes but if you were to zoom in with magnification, there are millions of small holes throughout the entire surface, acting a lot like a Velcro hold to the adhesive and grit. Secondarily, castings in general have a different layout of the molecular structure of the aluminum, allowing for more durability of the surface.
