I put that in quotes because they're really compositions.

Well you asked about Tuomas. Here are a few snippets: - Tuomas could read simple words before the age of 2 (he was in hospital having broken a leg and read “X-Ray” on the wall, to the amazement of the nurse) - He’s heavily into Disney, but other fantasy is important to him. Even Tolkien takes second place to Disney though (it takes all sorts!) - When he brought the band together his dream was that one day it would get a mention in Aku Ankka (a Finnish comic book) - He is close to his sister Susanna and his brother Petri - He once won 3rd prize in the district Tennis championships - At school his English teacher thought he would make something of himself and was disappointed he turned out to be “a mere musician” (!!) - One of his mottos is “The world is built on feelings” - He started piano at 7, and went on to study Clarinet, with piano as a second instrument at music school in Carelia - His music teacher was a big influence and he joined the teacher’s jazz band playing Saxophone - At 15 he went on an Exchange trip to Wichita. At that time he said he could stand pretty much any music except “heavy rock”. The family he was with took him to a rock concert with Guns ‘N Roses and Metallica in Kansas City, He came back hooked on metal. He bought all Metallica’s albums the next week. - One of his favourite tracks is Pantera’s “Vulgar Display of Power” - When he got home he joined his first band, Dismal Silence and took up keyboards (Korg M1) borrowed from school. - His second band was called Darkwoods My Betrothed and wrote his first song, “New Haven, New Earth” - Next he joined Nattvindens Gråt, a gothic metal band. A member of that band was Tapio Wilska - He bought his first keyboard in 1996 after starting Nightwish - a Korg 364 - Military service was compulsory in Finland, so Tuomas chose the Music Corps as he is a pacifist. He says he doesn’t have a single good memory of his military service - He kept writing songs while in the military, including “Forever Moments”, Etiainen” and one called - “Nightwish” - In his summer leave he gathered with his two bands’ members at a lake (Pyhajarvi) and he got the idea “what if I put together my own project?”. It was originally to be acoustic mood music, acoustic guitar, flute, strings, piano, keyboards and a female singer. “We definitely needed a female singer”. So he asked Erno Matti Juhani Vuorinen (Emppu) to join. For a ballad style that has even more emotion and even more range, try Dead Boy's Poem live from Buenos Aires 2018
@@Tearnofear😁Yes, I got a kind of non-sequitur in there didn't I. But I didn't want to split his sentence into several parts and he said "guitar" first so I mentioned Erno "Emppu" Vuorinen first. 😁 (Or "Eetu" as he is nicknamed within the band)
Tuomas is an empath. He very strongly feels the feelings of others. Although he had a very happy childhood (and perhaps an over-protected one as the youngest of 4) he always had the feeling of not being able to cope with the reality of normal life. He calls himself an escapist. In the world of Disney he felt safe and a lot of his songs refer to that. From a very young age he had a strong connection with the ocean. He wanted to be a marine biologist but in his teens the music took over. The ocean is a recurring theme in his songs. The founded the band in 1996 but around 2002 he struggled with the question who he was and it was such a dark period that he almost disbanded NW. But he kept going on because music is the only way he can express himself. After they fired Tarja (Tarya) in 2005, their first singer, he took the brunt of all the criticism (which was huge!!) and went into a deep depression (with the thought of taking his own life). His parents helped him to recover. He made a very moving song about that period.."The Poet and the Pendulum" (Live Wembley 2015). Now he is happy, he is married and he still writes beautiful songs. Btw Floor is also an empath and high sensitive. That is the reason she feels the meaning of the songs very strongly and well.. being Floor with her amazing talent...singing them can make you cry.
Floor is the most versatile singer I have ever heard, no matter what you need from her vocally, she will deliver. The Keyboardist you were asking about is Tuomas Holopainen, he is the founder/composer/songwriter for the band and his is a musical genius. Every song starts in his head.
True, she's really amazing. Though Sleeping Sun will always be a Tarja song for me. Tarja's voice puts much more melancholy into the song. Floor is much more versatile, but not that strong in the opera style which was NW signature sound which made them big. Together with Tarja they essentially lost that part. Well, nothing lasts forever and some really awesome pieces have come out with Floor since then ("Greatest Show on Earth" for example)
Listen to the advice of your violinist (Nova, if I remember correctly) and you won't regret it! New subscriber here for continuing to react to Nightwish. All the best, from Romania!
You want to see/hear what Tuomas is really capable of? Highly recommend Poet And The Pendulum (with lyrics and Floor singing) originally that song was for previous singer. But Floor absolutely nailed it with her live version
I’m thinking that Yours is an Empty Hope would be an interesting next song (Wembley 2015 or Mexico City 2015). Your previous two Nightwish songs were both written when Tarja was the singer (singer #1). Yours is an Empty Hope was one of the first songs written for Floor as the singer, and there are definite differences. It’s a fun song - you get some heavier sound, an introduction to Marko, and a big Easter egg for you to find!!
I was going to suggest the same thing as it's a 180 from this song. This is a Floor era song and Tuomas gets to play with her enormous range. In "Yours is an Empty Hope" we meet the heavy metal, angry Floor, and yes there's an Easter egg in there. The Mexico City version probably does the best job of showing what is going on: ruclips.net/video/DuwY1d-KIss/видео.html
One of the early Songs, it is about the solar eclips "two hundred and twenty two days of light will be desired by the night". Because that's the amount of time that went by before the eclipse (11th of August was the 223rd day of the year). At that time their german record Label asked to write a song about it. One of the terms was " not longer than 3 minutes", Knowing Tuomas, he made it 4+
Yes, Floor's ability to combine technical skill and emotion is quite unique. I've heard someone say, that there are two types of pop/rock singers. Either they focusing on the technique to bring emotion to the performance, or feeling the emotion and letting it out without thinking so much about the technique. Floor obviously is very technical singer, but yet she is very emotional when singing. Somehow she manages to control those emotions and combine that with all the technical skill. You can truly see her emotions in her face, gestures and presence. Even when she says "thank you" after a song, you can still hear the emotion of the song in her voice. "Poet and the Pendulum" at Wembley is a good example of this.
Regarding the hair blowing, she's been using a fan since she started as a teenager. The reason is actually to keep her makeup from running; the cool visual effect is just a side benefit.
Yes, this is one of my favorite songs, but i have to admitt everytime i listen to a song of Nightwish, i call it one of my favorite songs. I hope that we dont have to wait for about 2 weeks, before you will annalyse another song from them. Because Floor and Marco singing together is just magical. They are to very old souls connected to each other.
At 10:49 ".. a lot of ppl can do that, but they can't put the emotion on it". There you touch upon exactly the thing that Floor has mentioned in countless interviews. Yes, a lot of great singers can pull it off technically if they put in the endless hours of training. And Floor's put in light years in that dept. What she's looking for is the soul of the song, always trying to find ways to express the emotions and tell the story without making it sound too technical. Being able to do that with such elegance (indeed!) in front of thousands of hyped up ppl, taking in every single bit of energy from the crowd as the HSP empath she is, that's quite something else. Another great reaction, well done and kudos once again to your ocean soul violinist! Cheers from Amsterdam 🤘 EDIT: p.s. .. Who writes the lyrics for your "City of Sound" songs (e.g. "Odyssey")? Very interesting stuff.

So,... The Keyboardist and the Top Dogg of Nightwish: Our Metal Mozart Tuomas Holopainen (founder, leader, keyboardist, songwriter and the main composer for Nightwish) Tuomas the keyboardist writes about 95% of Nightwish songs, music and lyrics. He also composes the music for the backing track they use. It is recorded in London with musicians from The London Philharmonics. Pip Williams helps with the orchestration. There are two London based choirs too on the backing track, the other one is a children's choir. And of course, with a synth you can do a lot. This Powerful song is from Tarja (Nightwish first vocalist) era. Floor really did this song justice!!! Her voice is like a warm hug (Delicate, motherly and powerful)... Sleeping Sun was launched on 11th of August 1999, the same day with the solar eclipse which occurred in part of Europe and Asia that year. Now if you take the exact verses which contain "222" you have: 222 days of light will be desired by the night. coincidence or not, there are exactly 222 days starting 1st of January till August 10th inclusive. - valid for non-leap years. Nightwish Shadow Unit from Estonia 🤘😎🤘.
You get it, floor is as beautiful inside as she is outside and everyone in this band is the best at what they do, tuomas holopainen the keyboard player/composer doesn't write a bad piece of music and it's all different he is a true poet, and one of the special things about this band and the most important is they leave their ego at the door I am and old rock and roller who grew up since the beginning seen all the greats live, but I've never seen anything like this band no one is more important then anyone else in this band oh and their is another band member Troy God bless
Glad you're enjoying the ride - so much more waiting for you from this band. Pick a mood, and the Army will find you a song. Keep up the great work! Cheers from Canada.
I think this is incredible, I actually never realized how calm Floor is in these performances. It's something I just never really noticed, but of course, like... She's standing on a stage, in the limelight, in front of a gargantuan crowd with a high-quality fine-tuned microphone, so every sound she makes will be heard. I can't speak for others but that would be more than enough to make me slightly nervous, to say the least, and I'm sure she is, too, but the way she really behaves this calmly is honestly pretty amazing. The self-control on display is astounding.
Fantastic commentary and couldn't agree more when you talked about at the end of the artistry vs emotion, and making sure not to lose the emotion in the moment. One of the things that captured me with Floor, and Nightwish as a whole, is the stage presence, energy and emotion that comes through from the music and all of them. You've reacted to two of the more melodic Nightwish offerings (and fantastic ones, at that). I was going to suggest something heavier - Song of Myself, Romanticide (both from Wacken 2013) or Yours is An Empty Hope (Wembley) - just to see other sides of Nightwish, because another thing I love about them is that you'll be hard pressed to find two songs that sound the same, and Floor's range of styles she can pull off are ever only so barely touched upon from what you've seen yet. You also commented on how well she's trained herself to be so relaxed and to barely move while singing. One of those other songs will certainly mix that up a bit (and she's flat out dancing in I Want my Tears Back, in Buenos Aires). Looking forward to more! I really do like your Nightwish reactions, so I subscribed.
I am late to the party and I'm sure everyone already has replied to whatever question you might have had. You did a really nice reaction. It's great to see someone who knows what it takes to sing and perform react from a professional point of view. Just in case no explained this before, they work with the London Philharmonic Orchestra and they run a click track that is followed by the drummer who sets pace for the rest of the band. It's also the reason they are so tight, there is literally zero margin for errors. It's also great to see you not only appreciate the music but also the lyrics. Tuomas puts a lot of time and effort in it to get it right, it means the world for him to get the story out the way he feels it. In the song Dead Boy's Poem he literally invites people to " walk within my poetry" (beautiful song btw and usually called his eulogy) Tuomas is storyteller, that is how he writes, he has a story that he needs to tell and then he write music and lyrics, he never just jams. Floor is also storyteller, she feels the songs and is able to translate the story and emotions to voice. This was a great choice by you violinist, and your reaction was spot on, can' t wait to see more... not going to recommend a song (though I definitely have favorites) they are all awesome 🤘
Floor said that when she sings with Nightwish, she doesn’t think about her technique. She said “all the work is already done” and it’s performance time, it’s about connecting with the audience.
That was a great reaction. I do like reactors that are passionate about this art. And are willing to explain more. It is very cool, you take the time to pause and go back. As an amateur performer, who is no singer, but still will sing in our next production. This was also very helpfull.

@@Qwarzz It is one of the few songs that I may prefer from Tarja. But let’s be honest, we are spoiled getting to have both these amazing women singing these songs for us!
You are very perceptive 👍👍 The Goddess has been given many names...Dark Galadriel 🤩🤩🤩 Soprano Goddess, Vocal Sorceress, Queen, Angel of Music 🎶. The Black ⚫ Hole of Metal Music 🎶 etc. Yeah, her hand movements are hypnotic
As an artist...( landscape, abstract, and mixed media ) I have more than a few paintings sketched out that have been inspired by Nightwish's music. I can concur with others about reacting to Dead Boy's Poem, from Buenos Aries. I have the Decade's Tour CD / DVD set that I keep in my SUV's CD player!
Firstly, Floor Jansen is a BIG woman; 6'1" tall in flats, 6'3"--6'4" in heels and +/- 200lbs. You can tell by her shoulders arms and legs that she lifts weights. Her sister Irene is about the same size. Floors husband is 6'7" Hannes van Dahl who is the drummer for Sabaton, a band known for its songs about military history. Search for Christmas Truce, a song about stopping war for one day during WW1.
Floor Jansen was part of an amazing show called Beste Zangers 2019. The show has a small number of singers who sing a song that is significant to a focused singer without negative competition. She opens the show with "Vilja Lied" for Henk Port and ends the show with a duet of "Phantom of the Opera" with Henk. She saw him perform in Phantom of the Opera when she was young so it's pretty cool that she sings with one of her music heroes. I really love her renditions of the mentioned above and "Winner", but all of her songs are amazing. If you watch the songs with the intro and outro (eng sub) you find out how the songs are important to the focused singer, plus you get to know Floor's personality better. When you have time, I would love to see your reactions to her songs. The other singers are really good on this show without a toxic competition bringing the mood down. 😄
I came to Nightwish with Floor (GLS Wacken 13). Floor is my Goddess, she feels her songs, as well as sings them. This is a beautiful rendition. BUT, BUT BUT to me this is one track where Tarja reigns supreme. May I suggest you sound out the original Tarja Sleeping Sun.
Practice, practice, practice. That's the only way to create muscle memory, which Floor did for years. All these techniques and the songs are so embedded in her system, that she's able to pay more attention to the emotion.
@@ralfmeyer9086 I did. I always tell my 10 year old son this, when he wants to be good at something but doesn't like practice. He's starting to get it.

@@ralfmeyer9086 I watched all of them, but thank you for the tip! He doesn't sing, he does judo. But the same principle applies. If the moves are automatic, it frees up your mind to watch your opponent and anticipate his next move. It basically applies to anything you want to excel in.
Loved this reaction! By the way, Floor is not the only amazing singer in the band. I suggest you check out Nightwish's cover/tribute of Pink Floyd´s ¨High Hopes¨with Marko (the bass player) singing lead!
You ought to check out Ne Obliviscaris - And Plague Flowers The Kaleidoscope (Live in Colorado 2016). Six of the most incredible musicians you'll ever lay eyes on. Clean singing, harsh vocals, a violin, insane drummer, bassist, two guitar players. Magic made into sound.
She's the missing link for most bands. Beautiful melancholic song. That switch in the middle when her angelic modus flows over into the guitar.... that's magnificent.
Floor is the third and most versatile, empathic singer of Nightwish but many of the songs, including this one, were written for the first very operatic singer,Tarja Turunen. I personally prefer Floor's version of virtually every song but Tarja was very instrumental in the bands direction and is a very widely appreciated singer. So worth a visit. But if you really want emotion try The Poet and the Pendulum live at Wembley 2015. Tuomas's cathartic song after suffering depression and suicidal feelings after the sacking of Tarja for which he was pilloried.
Enjoyed it, thank you. Ask your violinist about " Dead Boys Poem " ( Buenos Aires Concert ). You gonna like it, have tissue ready. Look forward to you reacting to it. Be well.
A Tarja( original lead singer Tarja Turunen) era song, it was written as a single for the 1999 total solar eclipse in Europe, the Middle East, and India.. The second album, Oceanborn, was reissued later that year with this song included. 222 days of light, there were 222 days from the first of the year to the eclipse on Aug 11. Yes, Floor has a fan. I think she it's primarily to keep her mascara from running. The drummer here is Kai Hahto, in GLS you saw original drummer Jukka Nevalainen. Jukka had to step aside from performing in 2014 due to health issues caused by severe insominia, but remains with the band in management. He called his friend ,Kai from Wintersun, to take over.
Yes! There is a fan, visible in some videos. aka the "Floor Fan". It is usually near her feet on the floor in front of the mic. I agree she is so elegant.
Tuomas IS Nightwish. He writes and composes more than 90% of ALL their music. He is Metal Mozart, Bach and Chopin all in ONE. Tuomas Holopainen is a Genius.
You should always listen to your violist, because she knows what is really good!😂This is the only Nightwish song where I can't say if I like it more from Tarja or Floor.
Great analysis of a great performer and band. All Nightwish songs have specific and very different meanings. Tuomas does not write a song just for the fun of it. And it all rubs off on us
Poet and the Pendulum at Wembley if you havent seen it yet. Epic, powerful and beautiful. Of course all of Wacken 2013 set, but I think you would really appreciate this....... Humm, ok one more, .... Dead Boys Poem from Buenos Aires, if you want "moments" tears in fact
I saw in one of the top comments how Tuomas wanted his work to be mentioned in Donald Duck (Aku Ankka). well, I recall there being actually a mention them as "Yövissy." Also, Tuomas was able to work with Don Rosa, one of the most iconic artists who pretty much created Scrooge's backstory, and they created album "Music Inspired by The Life and Times of Scrooge." Personal recommendation from that is the song "Lifetime of Adventure," you get to see Tuomas' wife performing as well.

Floor is also a true empath
Great Info to Know, for a New Recruit into the Army! Thank You!
@@kevinjennings238 You're very welcome. Enjoy the ride! Greetings from the Netherlands!
Thank you for subscribing!
You want to see/hear what Tuomas is really capable of? Highly recommend
Poet And The Pendulum (with lyrics and Floor singing) originally that song was for previous singer.
Very interesting
I was going to suggest the same thing as it's a 180 from this song. This is a Floor era song and Tuomas gets to play with her enormous range. In "Yours is an Empty Hope" we meet the heavy metal, angry Floor, and yes there's an Easter egg in there. The Mexico City version probably does the best job of showing what is going on: ruclips.net/video/DuwY1d-KIss/видео.html
@@billattercliffe8655 Yes - 180 is exactly the thought on this suggestion! And I agree Mexico City is probably the best for Easter egg hunting!
🎵🎵👍👍🇳🇱🤘🤘🎤🎸
Great suggestion. Definitely Wembley for this one.
One of the early Songs, it is about the solar eclips "two hundred and twenty two days of light will be desired by the night". Because that's the amount of time that went by before the eclipse (11th of August was the 223rd day of the year). At that time their german record Label asked to write a song about it. One of the terms was " not longer than 3 minutes", Knowing Tuomas, he made it 4+
just back from the eye doctor,"each time i listen to Nightwish my eyes water..".. "Get used to it!"
Thanks for doing my request! Yes, she’s the perfect combination of class/training and mystical raw emotion. She is performer goals for me. 🎻
Thank you so much Nova!! :)
Floor is empathic and so often is emotionally connected to the song and this makes here a great story teller.
Love this song. 😍 Subbed for more. Loving your reaction. Greetings from Finland, it is the time of the year in here where sun is about to go to sleep.
Thank you for subbing!
If nobody has requested... Poet and the Pendulum.... a travel into the soul of Tuomas... guided by Floor Jansen and narrated by the entire band!
Masterpiece❤
Yes, this is one of my favorite songs, but i have to admitt everytime i listen to a song of Nightwish, i call it one of my favorite songs. I hope that we dont have to wait for about 2 weeks, before you will annalyse another song from them. Because Floor and Marco singing together is just magical. They are to very old souls connected to each other.
So many moments yet to come....here for them all! She is a master - they all are. Blessings from the Deep South!
Tuomas has often been referred to as "metal mozart". His musical IQ, is next level. A modern day mysical savant
How I wish you would listen this song live version sung by Tarja Turunen. She is sooo amazing and charismatic. Please. She is unforgettable.
Cheers from Amsterdam 🤘
EDIT: p.s. .. Who writes the lyrics for your "City of Sound" songs (e.g. "Odyssey")? Very interesting stuff.
Thank you for this! About you question, I write all our songs 🤘
Love this comment 🖤
@@wrighteousj That's some seriously inspired writing there. Just read "Race tt Sea" and "The Madhouse" as well. My hat's off to you WJ 👌

@@BrendonChase_2015 o thank you so much!
So,... The Keyboardist and the Top Dogg of Nightwish:
Our Metal Mozart Tuomas Holopainen (founder, leader, keyboardist, songwriter and the main composer for Nightwish)
Tuomas the keyboardist writes about 95% of Nightwish songs, music and lyrics.
Now if you take the exact verses which contain "222" you have:
222 days of light will be desired by the night.
coincidence or not, there are exactly 222 days starting 1st of January till August 10th inclusive. - valid for non-leap years.
Nightwish Shadow Unit from Estonia 🤘😎🤘.
Floor and Nightwish ar amazing, Floor is an vocal coach too!
Troy and Floor with their acoustic song, How's is the Heart! So beautifull
One of my very favorite Nightwish songs 😎 THANK YOU 😁
I highly recommend Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean live in Buenos Aires 🤘
"This is what you shoot for...", good call buddy, shivers down the spine, every time!
Most emotional moments of Floor performing a NW song > "Dead Boys Poem" Buenos Aires Live. Trust me. Tears guaranteed.
One tip. Listen closely to the voice of the boy.
The keyboard player is Tuomas Holopainen, he is also the one who composes all their music 🙂The Mozart of Metal...
Your expressions are priceless :) Thank you
Glad you're enjoying the ride - so much more waiting for you from this band. Pick a mood, and the Army will find you a song.
Keep up the great work! Cheers from Canada.
"Pick a mood, and the Army will find you a song", Wow awsome answer, and so true , Thank you!
Enjoyed the commentary. Floor has said that the fan is to keep her eye makeup from running. 😊🤘
You would love Floor doing Shallow live on beste zangers, its here on youtube. Bringing the elegance scale to a violent max.
You can hear from this band the songs the siren, we walking in the air, elvenpath, the phantom of the opera. In the voice of Tarja Turunen.
Two earbuds this time!? Immediate like!
Thank you for a great, meaningful reaction. Really enjoy your analyses and all the little side notes.
Floor does always have a fan going at the base of her microphone & she is classically trained & used to be a vocal coach. One in a million lady.. 😊💜💚
She has fans going everywhere tbh. Wait, what?
In the song Dead Boy's Poem he literally invites people to " walk within my poetry" (beautiful song btw and usually called his eulogy)
Tuomas is storyteller, that is how he writes, he has a story that he needs to tell and then he write music and lyrics, he never just jams.
Floor is also storyteller, she feels the songs and is able to translate the story and emotions to voice.
This was a great choice by you violinist, and your reaction was spot on, can' t wait to see more... not going to recommend a song (though I definitely have favorites) they are all awesome 🤘
Thank you!
You definitely NEED to check out "7 Days to the Wolves", from this same Wembly concert. It is pure power and energy
Floor said that when she sings with Nightwish, she doesn’t think about her technique. She said “all the work is already done” and it’s performance time, it’s about connecting with the audience.
Floor can sing everyting , even a Phonebook she did on a Dutch radioprogram . She even growls! And Tuomas is the master and composer of all songs .
@Bert , that was the sweetest phone book I ever heard !!
That was a great reaction. I do like reactors that are passionate about this art. And are willing to explain more. It is very cool, you take the time to pause and go back. As an amateur performer, who is no singer, but still will sing in our next production. This was also very helpfull.
"ELEGANT", IS THE BEST DEFINITION OF FLOOR!!
Yes the " Floor Fan" she's been using it since her days with her 1st band After Forever about 20 yrs ago ......Floor was Dark Galadrial , Valkyrie Goddess, The Queen way before she joined Nightwish ( thats why Tuomas the keyboardist chose her )
You should react too After Forever....do " Dreamflight live @ prog power " itll blow you're mind .
My favourite thing about Nightwish, in general, is they never over do it with there live performance. Everything fits so well.
Dead Boy's Poem might be a good choice to react to for a vocalist. Digging the channel.
Nightwish Army Southwest-Germany Division is reporting. Really well deserve reaction to Floor and Nightwish. You should hear their version of "Sleeping Sun" from Hellfest 2022, it's even better.
Dude!!! The Effect of having her Hair Blown is one of the Best Chill-Producing things about her Stage Presence!!! I can Definitely say, that IT becomes, Floor's BIGGEST FAN!!! (hyuk-hyuk, get it?)
Have your violinist watch this song at Tampere. Floor walks out on an elevated stage surrounded by the audience. It's beautiful.
Floor has the fan at her feet for the practical reason of preventing her make up to run. She wears a lot of leather and it's quite warm.
This is probably the best Reaction Video I’ve seen so far! Kudos to you from a new subscriber and now you can see why I love Floor Jansen so much! ❤️ btw…. If you’re looking for another awesome performance from Floor, take a look at “Ghost Love Score” by Nightwish! 😎
Floor is an Enchantress 😍
She’s also elegant, as you’ve said. However, there are many aspects of Floor. Check out Storytime live at Wacken 2013. You should also do Dark Chest of Wonders, SHOW OPENER at Wacken 2013.
One of the first bands I listened to that was metal back in 2006 in middle school and still obsessed!! She has such a beautiful time and diverse voice!! Great reaction and you got a new fan of our channel and of COS!!
Hi WrighteousJ. Loved how you highlighted what Floor does in this beautiful ballad. Nightwish fan and new subscriber here. I think you absolutely nailed this incredible performance.
Aye thank you!
Thanks for your reaction, there are so much more beautiful songs for you to explore, enjoy!

Yep, it's literary a "Floor-fan" she has at her feet...☺️
Hey , really enjoy your reactions not only based on knowledge an experience - but pure joy and love of music , giving me a whole lot of insights in areas i have never even considered before. I immensely enjoy you expending your own "music bubble" to other styles and artists - effortlessly overcoming being biased , which we all are in some ways - But its refreshing to watch you explore instead of beeing stopped by that fact. The video i would love to see your reaction to is 2 young girls performing 1st time Creep - Radiohead in a talent show. Against all odds because of that fact - it really blows u away. Audience made them perform it a 2nd time directly - leaving everybody stunned. 1st performance ends at 2:20 2nd at 4:20 - can't find a shorter video than this one . THis still gives me the chills and complete body goose bumbs every re-watch ! What is there to be said about Nightwish ....... every song is well balanced by Tuomas (Metal Mozart) and well executed by the whole band. Keep them coming.
In the Netherlands we've got a similar guy, so I hope you can find the time to react to this TOP LINEUP OF MANY MUSICAL INTRUMENTS/SINGERS: The Source is the 9th studio album from *AYREON* , a progressive metal/rock opera project by Dutch musician Arjen (Ahr-Yun) Anthony Lucassen, released on April 28, 2017. *_”The Day That The World Breaks Down”_* is a song that features all 11 (quite well known) main guest singers (you’ll be surprised) and is taken from that album. Arjen himself is telling (in subtitles) who the singers are and which instruments are used and by which standards.
Btw. This creative original clip is 13 min. long and I think you won’t regret it !!

I personally prefer Tarja singing this song (one of the few Floor hasn't improved on). Some of the choices Floor made kinda breaks the flow for me.
@@Qwarzz For me, Floor's choices don't break the flow - it's gorgeous - BUT I agree that Tarja does indeed own this one.

Yours is an empty hope (Wembley 2015) is more heavy stuff, but just as mesmerizing
😎 yeah
this song also makes me feel feels in some depths of my soul. one of OLD favs
Check this song out in Tampere. She's on an elevated stage surrounded by people.nightwish's home town. Floors parent's are at this show.
You are very perceptive 👍👍
The Goddess has been given many names...Dark Galadriel 🤩🤩🤩
Soprano Goddess, Vocal Sorceress, Queen, Angel of Music 🎶.
Jesicca, you see her MasterClass. ? But it is so true. Talent and many, many hard work 🤘
@@ralfmeyer9086 I did.

Loved this reaction! By the way, Floor is not the only amazing singer in the band. I suggest you check out Nightwish's cover/tribute of Pink Floyd´s ¨High Hopes¨with Marko (the bass player) singing lead!
Another great reaction and I see your adding in you own vocal trained knowledge always good to see on a reaction.
I definitely will!
Thank you for this great reaction. I hope for one of their heavier songs next. Like romanticide 💜
Yes she has a Floorfan 🤩
at Hellfest 2022 live she gets some help from the sun and it's very powerful
Enjoyed it, thank you. Ask your violinist about " Dead Boys Poem " ( Buenos Aires Concert ). You gonna like it, have tissue ready. Look forward to you reacting to it. Be well.
Epic
such a soft like a butterfly the accents and atmospherics
Nightwish with Floor has many of these moments… ❤‼️🏆👍
Yes! There is a fan, visible in some videos. aka the "Floor Fan". It is usually near her feet on the floor in front of the mic. I agree she is so elegant.
Just continue to let yourself inspire by your violinist 👍
Tuomas IS Nightwish. He writes and composes more than 90% of ALL their music. He is Metal Mozart, Bach and Chopin all in ONE. Tuomas Holopainen is a Genius.
You should always listen to your violist, because she knows what is really good!😂This is the only Nightwish song where I can't say if I like it more from Tarja or Floor.
Lol! 🤘🤘🤘
I concur. Absolutely.
For me it's the Tampere version ❤️ But ofcourse this is amazing too 👍🏻
Agreed, The camera work here pans away from Floor at the wrong moments. The Tampere version is just more epic
Yup, same here. Tampere all the way.. NW & Floor were at peak performance there.
Hi, great reaction, Floor is such a Goddess of singing, best regards
This is a Nightwish classic :-)
Great analysis of a great performer and band. All Nightwish songs have specific and very different meanings. Tuomas does not write a song just for the fun of it. And it all rubs off on us
MOAAAAR NIGHTWISH! Nom nom.
Poet and the Pendulum should be the next Nightwish reaction. Live version with Floor obviously. Bring your tissues
Done
Great stuff mate🤘
IMO: the best nightwish song ever !! i couldn't chose between Tarja (first Nightwish singer) and Floor (current singer) performances, both are out of this world !!! you really should listen to a live of this song from Tarja too ... your violonist has very good taste :D
