If the unit is still announcing “Low Battery”, I’d try holding the test button down for 15 seconds to drain out any possible power and put the battery back in. If the unit is still chirping, try again. If the unit is not announcing “Low Battery” and chirping every 30 seconds or if it’s still announcing “Low Battery” a third time, the unit has malfunctioned and must be replaced.
