Wow! That corner is gonna be amazing! That weeping cypress is gorgeous...I want to see what it will look like in 10 years but I want to see it NOW!! 😂 🙌🏼 great job you two!
I live in a city comparable to New York. I don’t have the gorgeous space you do. My back yard is the rooftop of my garage. I would love to see you tackle a true small space. It would be wonderful to see you landscape an area comparable to a 2 car garage with container plantings, lighting and outdoor furniture and accessories. I’m sure I’m not the only urban viewer subscribed to you. URBAN VIEWERS hit that thumbs up button.

I have a weeping Alaskan cypress too. A stag discovered it and marked it as his property. It's alright no real damage. Love your videos. Thanks for the inspiration.
I look forward to getting home from work at 7AM to watch your daily garden updates! I appreciate that you dont put mid-roll ads but I wouldn't mind if you guys put them in because I love your videos so much! Keep up the AMAZING work!
Beautiful!! Thanks for the wonderful ideas! I literally wait for your videos daily. I sit on my deck with my coffee and relax while watching your videos! What could be better????
Everything is looking great, guys! Just love your choices of evergreens! I truly hope that ALL OF YOU enjoy your 'Spring Snow' Crabapple tree as much as we loved ours! The blooms smell heavenly & are as "white as snow"! When the petals fall, they really remind you of falling snow. We had our tree for a very long time--until blight or something destroyed it! I've had a Japanese Snowbell tree where the crabapple stood for so long. There must be something special about plants with "snow" in their names! Lol! Watching you both digging that huge hole for that biggest tree reminded me of when my ex-husband, one of his brothers & I dug what seemed like a "swimming-pool-size" hole in our front yard for a triple-trunk birch tree! Our tree was huge, too! We HAD TO have the hole ready for the nursery to drop the tree into when they delivered it. All three of us were filthy dirty & tired to the bone; but, the hole WAS ready when the tree arrived! I guess that hole must've been a pretty good one; because, that same tree is still growing out of it these 33 years later! I wish you all the same kind of luck with all of your trees, etc. This trip that you're taking all of us on with you, as you landscape this western most edge of your garden, is proving to be a most interesting & wonderful one! Thanks again for sharing it!🌾💜
I am loving all the planting and this newly developed area of your garden. Laura, please do garden tour video.... I alwez wait for that. And for now I am watching your previous garden tour videos.
I've been loving the daily planting videos, such a nice way to start the morning. Thank you Laura! Wyoming still isn't over this whole winter/snow/cold thing yet. Gardeners have it really rough here!
The sky was so beautiful when Aaron was digging the hole for the big tree in the corner. With all your "permanent" plantings such as trees, perennials shrubs your property value must have shot through the roof! Great investment for a long term gain.
So lovely! I really need to work on winter interest. I tend to forget about it until winter... My only really nice winter interest I have is a Harry Lauder walking stick
Wow! That hole you dug for the Weeping Alaskan Cedar was impressive!! I'm in the Ozarks... Zone 6B/7A... and I garden on literally 3 inches of dirt over ROCK!! So, many truck loads of soil have been hauled in and many more to go... and even then good soil is hard to come by here.
I can not wait for the garden tour!!! Laura, can you do a pre prime review of the garden before it all blossoms and looks amazing? Would love to see the juxtaposition!
I envy you all living in the north- living in the very south part of Florida it's hard to find pretty flowering trees- plants- shrubs that can tolerate full HOT sun- working on it and not giving up- my tomatoes 🍅 are doing great- love your knowledge and I truly enjoy learning from you both- keep up the great work 🌸🌸🌸
There are some pretty flowering trees you can grow in SoFlo like Lignumvitae, Bulnesia, Cassia Japonica (beautiful pink flowers), Dwarf Poinciana, Chorisia Speciosa (another beautiful pink), and Jacaranda (beautiful purple flowers). Also, we can grown lots of tropical fruit trees. I know the folks up North have an array of flowers, shrubs, and tress that can't grow here in SoFlo but, we do have some beautiful flowers and such here too. The only problem is finding some of these plants. Enjoy your tomatoes and have fun planting!
Aaron was great helping you with the "beast"! It looks so beautiful! You are such an inspiration to me! I watch you everyday! Actually, you start my day so I can get up and go straight out to my gardens! Love you guys.
I was mesmerized watching you dig your big hole! No rocks! I envy that! I literally live in a place called Rockville and when I dig I may find boulders even. Fooey!
You guys made me want to do a lot in my garden! We planted a hedge with water tubing and we are making a border under a big oud apple tree! Keep them coming your ideas
Another amazing job Laura and Aaron. It’s so great to see the transformation this area gone through. Sometimes we walk by a beautiful garden or a property and forget how much time and works it takes to get to that level.
The corner is shaping up beautifully. WOW - that birch tree is gorgeous. I've never seen one with black leaves before and the leaves and the whitebark are very striking together. And just a shout out to Aaron on how professionally he prepares the videos. The pop-up info is super helpful and appreciated. I'm guessing you might be self-taught? Either way, you're a real pro at editing a beautiful finished product.
I have a globe arborvitae that I swear grows more the colder our winters are. This past winter got down to -37 at one point and this thing has grown at least four inches on all sides.
Hi Laura and Aaron! That area is looking so nice. I like the arborvitaes and cypress you picked and that big tree ~ wow! I'm excited to see what you decide to plant in front of the arborvitaes. I know it will be amazing! Thank you so much for the daily videos!
I absolutely love your arborvitaes and all the evergreens in that corner. The pines in our GA yard are so tall most of what you see is trunk unless your looking out the upstairs windows.
Beautiful as usual, i believe you make the same mistake i do by over planting. Then poof they are 14 ft high and 10 ft wide. As ive said before, you are a very lucky woman. I may start doing my neighbors yards, I've run out of room in mine, lol.
It's turning out so beautiful, so much fun seeing how you are filling in the area. I absolutely love that wall of evergreens and how it is looking. That weeping evergreen was a beast, I bet you are happy it's planted, lol. We saw most of it till the camera crashed, sorry about that. I have this area in my yard right in the front where I have a fence that I planned on putting a flower bed all along the fence, now I'm considering a row of evergreens that don't grow too tall, then I can plant flowers in front of them, it would hide my yard from the street, which I might like alot, give it more privacy. Thank you for this video, it gave me a few ideas to consider and I'm grateful. Have a great weekend, see you soon, bye for now.
What can I say...everhthing looks gorgeous. And then there is me with my black thumb. My mother & grandfather can make anything grow. Guess I got the wrong genes, I got jeans instead...lol Mary
That is going to look great! Yep that’s is what happens to me when I buy plants, I either over buy and come up short or under buy and have to go back. However, I don’t mind it is a great excuse to go to my local nursery 😂😂😊
I need to replace some hollies that we cut out because they were getting out of hand. They were in a bed at the front of our house, but I don't think any of those would work for our space. So I will keep looking, but at least now I kind of know what I am looking for. Thanks for sharing. Happy gardening.
I just bought a beautiful lawsoniana ellwoodii variegated...green with bright yellow tips. It's stunning. I'll show it in a video. I love conifers but most get too tall and wide for town sections.
perhaps one of my personal favorite evergreens is the blue spruce. I love their slower controlled growth so that can grow into a space versus overtaking it.
How fun was this coffee with Laura and Aaron video!! As I was watching you guys dig all the holes I think you need to get a small tractor that can dig for you and save both of your backs!!! That was a huge hole for the tree and you guys did so well getting it in! I love the cypress as well they would be so fun to plant at our center but I would have to clear that with the College so that probably won't happen :( Oh well I can watch yours grow. Thanks so much for all the interesting greenery choices!!!
I’m so glad to see your videos each day. You keep me inspired to work in my own garden. And I love the ideas you share with us. Did you do a video on planting your garden this year? If so I missed it. Could you share the link please.
Great team work! Y'all are doing an amazing job on your property .You have given me so much information an ideas for my gardens we only have 1 1/2 acres .
Deer are eating my emerald green arborvitaes. Going to replace them in the spring. I have 21 feet length by 7.5 wide space I need to fill with a natrual privacy fence. What species of juniper(s) would you recommend? Preferably 25 feet max height no lower than 20 as I have an elevated deck and like to maintain privacy while on the deck. Live in MI and would be on south side.
What beautiful evergreens!! In Colorado, we have bentonite clay, plus huge variations in winter temperature/semi-arid, to boot...just last week it was 80 degrees, and then it plunged to 29. Those beautiful Cypress & Cedar can't make it here. I will vicariously enjoy from afar...great job, both of you. That was ALOT of digging!
Your garden is looking beautiful and the benches are very pretty. As soon as I seen Russell standing up at the bench I said look at Russell my husband said what😄
Could you take some more aerial photos of your property. I can see from an old one you did about fertilizing your grass that a lot of things have changed. For example you added the chicken coop. I love all the ways you decorate your landscape you are definitely inspirational . Anyway I would love to see a new aerial photograph.
I am loving these daily videos. Keep them coming please.💕💖💐
Wow! That corner is gonna be amazing! That weeping cypress is gorgeous...I want to see what it will look like in 10 years but I want to see it NOW!! 😂 🙌🏼 great job you two!
Can’t wait to see this area filled in & at Christmas 🎄!! Loved that y’all included the blooper ☺️ love your videos!!

I admire that you guys are out there every day. Let me tell you... Do not think it's just easy peasy cause its NOT gardening is hard work!
You are always hard work for your garden. So your garden always clean and beautiful. Thanks for your videos.
Laura - I know you have a huge property, but it's great when you share "small garden plant tips". I get so many planting ideas from you, thank you!

I really like the plant choices your making for this corner
It’s like you are reading my mind! Our new garden space will be much smaller than I’m used to, so I needed some recommendations! Perfect timing! 👩🏻🌾💕
The sky was so beautiful when Aaron was digging the hole for the big tree in the corner. With all your "permanent" plantings such as trees, perennials shrubs your property value must have shot through the roof! Great investment for a long term gain.

That giant weeping one is awesome. I've seen similar ones with blue needles. People have to use ropes to support the large weeping branches.
I can’t wait to get a tour of the finished product.

Beautiful trees..good job complimenting each grouping
perhaps one of my personal favorite evergreens is the blue spruce.
