As someone who’s never watched Critical Role (though it’s been on my list for a while) I saw the thumbnail for a clip from these and thought they had done a Cyberpunk 2020 and/or Red one shot. I was greatly mistaken but not at all disappointed.
What I learned from this video, Nord's deal got worse and worse with each hacking. Also, really loved Travis and Liam's reaction to Laura's "Holy shift".
Ohhhh my god thank you for uploading this! Since you're presumably going to be uploading another one, after the most recent ad, could you include the part in episode 105 where Matt introduces the ad under its Proper Title of "Nord by Nordwest: The Quest for the Ultra Kodex: Reloaded"?
I had originally planned to call the compilation that, but I worried that with such a title the algorithm wouldn't have as much luck knowing who to show it too!
Just looking at Talesin for the whole video is the best part. He is dying every second something happens. But I'm not sure if I should feel bad or not. Cause my god that is a lot he has to see. But as soon as he "joins" Marisha is the one I look at, the ones that have to sit through this and watch are the ones with the best reactions And as soon as Ashley joins you can just see Marisha regretting some decisions she made in her life And then there is just Matts face questioning why NordVPN is still sponsoring them
This is genuinely the best NordVPN could have hoped for. Because look, someone supercut this and its essentially 30 minutes of NordVPN ads but also damn entertaining.
This is actually a really cool concept for a show lmao. Hackers all around the world uniting to keep their darknet safe from some kind of government programme to shut it down or something.
I got Nord VPN just a couple weeks ago, as they had a birthday sale. I got 2 years for about $90 total, that covers six devices. Thanks to Sam and CR for promoting them!
If only more brands realized that if ads were creative and lighthearted like this that people might actually be more inclined to buy their stuff rather than want to skip their ads immediately. Or at the very least, viewers would be entertained and have a greater likelihood that they will talk about their brand positively because they saw "that weird crazy NordVPN ad on Critical Role" or whatever brand was smart enough to allow creative freedom to the people promoting their stuff instead of reading from a boring script. Nobody likes seeing the same formulaic, repetitive, and bland yet annoying format of "This is Brand. Brand sells product. Product good. Buy product." Let creators do weird funny shit like this, because the fact that people (myself included) *voluntarily* sought out these ads to watch again in this age of an invasive ad-ridden webscape and might even *look forward to more ads* of this nature just speaks volumes to the quality of these ads even with a small-ish budget in an improv environment. Fuck, even the fact that there's literal fanart that people spent time on and made of these doofuses dressed up in costume for an advertisement (which in turn gives more free publicity) shows that this is how advertising and "boosting brand image™" should be done. @@richardthompson1125 well now I have to go find that episode. Kudos.
That was what I thought... until the Nintendo Power Glove appeared!

Pretty sure Sam Riegel is the only person on the planet capable of making an ad that people actively compile and search for to watch again.
Seriously, NordVPN is getting so much value out of this.
long long man begs to differ but I agree he's very good
Laura's sunglasses under the sunglasses will never get old
Like TF2's Sniper all over again.
You can wear 7 freaking pairs of glasses at once.
