The extra light, and the view is great, what about in the winter 🥶?

Not much usage in the winter months. More of a three seasons tree house.

    Very solid construction,
But did you take into account tree movement?

Thanks. Yes. The joists are not attached to one of the main beams and are allowed to move on top of the beam. Not sure if you watched episode #3, but I talk a little about that in that episode.
That being said, there were still a few things I didn’t account for in regards to movement. For example, the semicircle cutout of the roof panels for the one tree wasn’t big enough. After a storm, the tree had moved enough to slightly damage the roof panels. Luckily nothing major.

How has the polycarbonate held up over time?

After 2 years, really well so far. There’s some tree debris/dirt, but the slope of the roof is steep enough that most of that washes off when it rains.

Question: On the high end of the rafters, won’t the ends be exposed to weather and because they’re not pressure-treated could be a problem? Or will you be putting pressure treated 1 x 4 across the ends of all of the upper rafters. Thanks Jim

The 2 x 6 rafters are pressure treated. But if they weren’t, that would possibly cause a problem with moisture and rot. For some added protection, we added a stain/sealer on the ends of the rafters (and other exposed wood) after the wood had seasoned for a year.
