Hi Brian, a great video, as always. I heard about another way to clean track that is not abrasive, it works a treat as well. that is to use a piece of soft wood, like a section of batten or similar. I use a section of 50mm x 25mm planed. It cleans very well and, apart from points and slips, which will require conventional cleaning, does not use any fluids either. Ken.
I don't have problems with Railmaster, If people with Railmaster problems would only come to me first I could mostly fix them in minutes, Having worked with Railmaster for 10 years I have seen every problem you could have with the system, So all you have to do is to call me on 01782302194 or email me at brianhughes382@gmail.com, I work with people all over the world even Railmaster call me the Guru
@@BrianHughes i watched a load of your vids trying to sort it out thank you so much. it kept dropping connection. spent more time unplugging and pulling usb,s in and out. shame really as it seems a great system when it works. i went a brought the gaugemaster advance prodigy 2 which worked no problems soon as i plugged it in. thank you for the offer of calling thats really good of you thank you
The problem is in the INI file and look for two lines which should read for an Elink Alternative comms=1 Check controller=1 and for an Elite they should read Alternative comms=0 Check controller=0 this is usually the problem
@@BrianHughes thanks again i tired all that. the only way i could get it to connect was unplug it from usb plug in it in to another port check which comm port then change in the railmaster settings. then unplug from mains leave 20 secs plug back into mains unplug usb plug usb back in same slot. then cross fingers. but it doesn't matter now anyway as i said i have gaugemaster now. thanks anyway wish i messaged you first. great to find a youtuber so willing to help out.
