Hi, thank you for making this stream, I was looking for inspiration for my Artfight page this year and this not only showed up at the perfect time in my recommended but had a lot of information that I'd been looking for for a while!
Also dropping in to answer a couple of questions you had through the stream!
- Firstly, while a lot of folks are updating their pages, a lot of pages also had their image links wiped out by Discord no longer being an image hosting platform, so that could potentially be why a lot of pages were," broken."
- at 9:02 I believe the easiest way to find those when searching is to look for "Blinkies"!
- This wasn't something you asked about, but a lot of pages will have their profile description images broken up to be able to have clickable "buttons" in their own artstyle without css!
- Also not something you asked about, but another free thing that people can do on their profiles is BBCode! While there's not a super lot of resources on it that I've found, it can be used to manually edit the text and image formatting in the profile description, on character pages and in permissions!

Hey don’t worry about it 🥺 Art fight is all about the *art* and this is just an extra cherry on top plus a general appreciation for the few profiles that do this! I know mine is going to be pretty standard 😂
look!!! its about having fun. once you start comparing yourself and thinking you have to reach some sort of standard to do anything, you lose your motivation and inspiration. what should motivate you is beign extra and having fun. if something is too much and gets you motivated in the wrong way of "I have to do this or im not good enough like others" just dont do it!!! do whatever lets you have fun, enjoy art!!!!! I play Flight Rising, which is an online dragon pet game thing
They only use BBCode on like everything, and the sheer amount of absolutely gorgeous profiles, forum pages, and pet bio's I've seen on there are crazy.
I thought it would be the same for art fight since it also uses BBCode, but it seems it's not utilized nearly as often as it should be.

I saw this video pop up on my home page and I was curious to watch it. Colour me shocked when I see my own profile show up! Thank you SO much for the sweet compliments you gave my profile, I really appreciate it a lot! I've been tinkering with my CSS on and off for about a year or two, so it means a lot to hear that my work really paid off! :3

There’s a little image icon when you write your profile and you have to put a link to the image (discord for example) but yeah, what those people do is very impressive

I think discord stopped working for hosting images (at least for me) but you can use stuff like Imgur!! :)
So you know how when you find a photo online, there’s the option to download the photo, and there’s the option to copy the photo?
If it’s an open-access website, that you can get to and see the image from (like deviantart or imgur or GIFkeyboard), you can take an image from it.
To do that, you right click an image you find online, and click “Copy” on it.
Then, when you go off to artfight, you click the “insert image” button. It’ll pop up with a little window that says “Insert image url or https!.” This is where you hit paste.
Remember when you clicked “copy” on that image earlier? It copied the link to that exact image.
When you hit “paste” in that little “insert image url or https!” box, it’ll put the exact link to the image so artfight can access it.
Then, when you hit save, it’ll insert the image onto your profile! :3
