Joey said there was supposed to be a part 2 to the Fissionton taskline (set to be added on the 27th of that month), but it got delayed so much that it just didn’t happen. Librarian Larry made a video that discusses that. But yeah I feel like the silly meter had so much more potential and is just a boring addition at this point, *especially because it’s been proven to only take a few days to code but it took ages for TTR to do it*
YEAH I totally forgot about that. It’s weird that they couldn’t even put something as simple as a taskline into the game and it just being abandoned. Wish I remember that but still that was confusing they couldn’t do it.
2 years to add the silly meter? It took Corporate Clash 2 years to do 1.1 and we got: Entirely new boss Entirely redesigned Lawbot HQ Redesigned animated Lawbot heads New Lawbot cogs Improved performance (this took most of that 2 year time) New gag (confetti cannon) New textures from the Spotify Leak Tons of QOL improvements (for example facility sprinting) Tons of bug fixes Not only that but they put out special events during the time they were working on 1.1 such as the new species, the Halloween event, Christmas event, April Toons week, and Break the Law Remind me why people still play TTR when this game has so much more to offer?
Spore Summit honestly, it’s for the best. Tons of people would just spam high tier invasions so they could get more merits from buildings or just to be a dick. The invasions also messed up the cog spawning % in streets, so people had to go to safe districts to do tasks.
Personally I would of made the doodle training more unique by having a happy doodle run up to you and do the trick themselves (just like real pets) in hopes you'd praise/scratch them, if you do they get double experience for it; because they did it themselves. Besides that I'd add a new doodle feature called "toys" that a doodle can spawn if you bought them one (you can only give them 1 to hold, which is set up in a doodle tab) where they will occasionall walk around with it either in their mouth or do an animation with it; this would make them happier faster and if it's in their mouth, there's a chance they'll run up to you and ask you to interact with it. One example is a Ball that you can throw and the doodle will run after it. Another is rope that you play a mini tug-o-war game and another being a trumpet that you (using the minnie's dancing minigame code) play to match the doodle's noises.
They weren’t stealing anything. They were just trying to recreate a feature toontown rewritten promised that was taking them well over a few months to release. And also it was never going to be added into toontown offline just an experiment some people from offline were trying to do in their free time.
@@AnthonyRanieri Late reply as I only decided to rewatch this now and didn't realise this got a reply. I meant they stole TTR's assets to create this update purely to spite TTR, not the code itself. Music and art take a lot of time to perfect, and TTR has to make sure it fits within the game too so it can't be haphazardly coded. TTO was haphazardly coded and look were that got it. That being said I do think a Silly Meter re-update is desperately needed with the Gag teams fighting over each other and maxed Toons in certain activities sometimes seeing no benefit at all. The voting system is flawed too.
I was just upset because when we were told, "We have a brand new silly meter!" I thought it was a redesign of the silly meter itself, but it wasn't, I just wanted a newly designed silly meter.
I really think people need to respect the ttr staff more. You realized that they made this game so WE can play toontown again so WE could go back to our childhood.they can’t even earn any money off of this. They’re doing it for us. So don’t bite the hand that feeds you. You realize that they could just snap their fingers, and bam. The game is gone.

@@MiiChanx Yeah, TTR has some cool stuff and it modernises TTO adding new stuff and tweaks outdated stuff instead of remaking it from the ground-up.
