- Inside a busy A&E department, junior doctors and nurses are on shift dealing with critical patients and medical emergencies. Staff on shift are quick to face emergencies. Two builders are rushed to casualty after a roof collapse, with one suffering from immense pain. Meanwhile, an epileptic patient is severely injured and doctors speak to the patient's family to understand his medical history.
The doors of the Barnsley A&E department are open every hour of the day. The reality series allows for a peek inside the hearts and minds of the medical emergency teams, and how they deal with critical situations revolving around people's lives and illnesses. The close-knit team exchanges typical Yorkshire banter and humor to aid them with getting through their often long and tough days.

I honestly don’t know what we would do without these dedicated people, they are Wonderful ❤❤❤❤
Boy was lucky with that dog bite neck wound bless him , handled it like a trooper , good lad 👍
It's always the Bully breeds . I thought that they were banned in the UK ?
That dog really got his chin…ouch. But you are right he was really brave!
@@brooksequine7621 Is it? Is it really? Maybe you can cite your claim that Bully breeds clock the most bites.
Well, I was glad the mom took pictures of him before it was stitched up because if there’s a lawsuit, she’ll need the pictures and the pictures after he gets it stitched up. I don’t know the laws in the UK but I know here in British Columbia Canada, if your dog is out, it has to be on a leash and somebody has to be with it so that it can’t attack anybody even with the boy going to pet it, it shouldn’t have been able to get to the boys face. I’m just telling you the way it is here and it’s quite strict here as well. They stick to the law when it comes to dog bites that’s for sure.
He handled it like a trouper.
I love the dad of the boy with the dog bite....so sweet thaf he got emotional seeing his boy hurt
It was a Bully breed . He ought to thank God that his boy didn't get much worse .
What an amazing team. Expertise apart, they are so kind and warmhearted.
For many reasons, I have such regard for nurses. But Sister Benita is a gem.
such a brave boy not crying, etc.hope he never had any ptsd after the attack/surgery
Sister Bonita looks exhausted!
Sister Benita does look exhausted. She is both gorgeous and an outstanding nurse.
I love this show so much Nurse Bonita and Dr. Julian. Jane the volunteer is funny lady. Honestly the whole hospital is amazing. 😊❤
I adore Jane, she is so good to everyone ❤
Gotta love Jane with her tea cart❤❤❤
I really enjoy this series , the care , professionalism, teamwork that they are put in to make the patience better it’s truly a great thing to see , thank you for sharing ‼️❤️
Sister Bonita looks so tired !!!
I love Jane. "The most exercise I get is me jaw". 🤣
Love this Hospital’s staff!!!😍😍🥰🥰🩷🩷
Oh Lord. Give the man a pillow
Poor lady with the racing heart. Its frightening when your heart races too fast. I have a condition called supraventricular tachycardia. (SVT) for short. I ended up in hospital so many times with it, was put on beta blockers which didnt help. Had to end up having a heart ablation which helped bigtime. I still get occasions when my heart beats a bit fast but nothing compared to before my proceedure
I have it too. I've had it since childhood, but it's getting worse as I get older. It's a horrible thing!
I had were my two bottom chambers of my heart didn't beat in unison had to get a pacemaker ICD it's been a godsend
the dog bit "for no reason"... lmao, dogs rarely bite for "no reason". for the love of god teach your children (and yourself!) the signs of dogs being uncomfortable/anxious so you know you need to back tf off.
I miss Dr. Humphrey
As an American, stick shift ambulances make me laugh lol
@@Scavendon lol
Rob needed a pillow behind his head. He looked uncomfortable.
With that 12 yr old boy with dog bite, I doubt that the dog bit him “for no reason”… 🙄
Poor kid ouchy bad dog bite, so strong tho he is when I was younger I got bit by a dog but that was on my ankle like vampire bite It was nothing like his
I thought this was kings but seems more busy and less trauma
I need Jane in my life.
