To add to your point on the variegated trees… not only is water and high light important, but I also find the condition of the trunk plays a huge part on its health. For instance, every single money tree I’ve owned that was braided struggled immensely. ❤

Ok I applied nematodes about 3 out 4 weeks ago for fungus gnats. GIRRRL!! They were gone in a week. Zero gnats on any of my traps. They also eat thrips I believe. So worth it and they can last 18 months. Beneficial bugs, game changer😄 they are microscopic too so you don’t even know they are there.

I use mosquito bits on my plants that go in patio and that will be making it inside in cold weather. Mosquitos love my fiddles and I use the tea to kill off mosquitos and eggs before they come inside. The worst thing you can do is bring in the plant with eggs or larvae and they hatch inside the house (where it stays warm).

I got ficus benjemina eldorado, it is less common version of the weeping fig, but it is very easy care and the most beautiful benjemina in my opinion.
