very simple, the engine is turned sideways and the drive comes from the final drive shaft, but the prop shaft cannot simply be hung onto the final drive shaft as it will murder the bearing.a bit of engineering know-how and it is simple..
The Father , I would solid Mount the engine directly to the axle above the diff and bolt the bike sprocket to the drive flange on the diff, so it all moves as 1 unit, and convert the engine bay in to a boot, carry useful stuff as ballast, the donor bike would have all the necessary components to make it work, use a simple cable system for clutch and gear changes, buy a front end write off bike as donor.
how much it cos to put in a bike engine in as i have a reliant rialo but the engine is not exactly reliable just past its mot but it is overheating etc and lacks power
Dan Winter probably too late now but the fiat fire engine is a good option. The 1.3 would fit with some modifications to the passenger footwell. You can buy adapter plates to mount the gearbox.
Dan Winter presonaly I would solid Mount the engine directly to the back axle so it moves with the axle, and bolt a sprocket to the drive flange on the diff, convert the front in to boot space and carry useful stuff as ballast, it would cost next to nothing, evict the original gearbox and propshaft altogether I'm pretty sure a 500 cc would haul it along nicely, tho use whatever took your fancy, you have the wiring loom and all the parts already on the donor bike, the clutch and gear change controls would be a doddle to make.
@@mrjed6912 As long as you don't hit a 30-40 mph labelled bend in wales like i did around 50+ mph. the inside wheel lifted and it stayed on two wheels before coming down with a crash on 3 .
should be reliant robin not robin reliant its make then model reliant is the make robin is the model in this case im sure its not even a robin but a rialto as the robin has 2 wipers this like the rialto has 1
I think you mean Reliant Robin
Is that similiar to the R1 mexico escort Ford going around ??
I would be interested in how you connected the prop to the bike engines crank.

What about the gearbox
@@John-ci2sd It's in the engine
@@serendipitypr Is it possible to run the stock rear differential?

one word, wow.
How fast?
What was the cornering like at fast speed
As someone who has a reliant, if you have people on board its quite unstable But if there is only 2 people then it’s quite stable.

It looks like an older Robin
I thought the robin mk2 had a single wiper
it's A MK.2 robin, and the mk.2 was single wiper. the mk.1 had dual wipers.
@@the_pigs_have_rebelled Newer mk.2 the mk.1 had dual wipers.
bloody wow
thats mint cool video
Cortina Ford, Viva Vauxhall, Corolla Toyota, Espri Lotus - all no. So don’t call it a Robin Reliant.
