From Orchard To Self-Sufficient Food Forest - Planting Nitrogen Fixers on the Smallholding

Hey, folks! Welcome back to our little corner of green goodness here in North Wales, UK. Today's a big one as we roll up our sleeves and dive into transforming our orchard into a self-sufficient food forest!
I've had a box of nitrogen-fixing goodies delivered, and I'm pretty stoked to crack it open with you. Then, I'll take you along as I dig, plant, and maybe get a little mud on my boots. It's a journey from ideas to actual plants in the ground, and I'd love to have you with me.

Loving what you are doing here, I hadn’t heard of a food forest before so it’s really interesting for me, I used to have chickens and really miss them now!..But I can enjoy yours so thanks x

I don’t know if you have rabbits or not Sam but at this time they may eat the bark and lower branches I suggest chickenwire around them

Hey Ali, hope you're well.
Oh I'll always take cold over rain - all this grey is driving me a bit crazy. Although saying that, I realise your cold is a lot colder than mine!
I had a bit of rabbit damage when I first put those fruit trees in, but interestingly, nothing since. Good point, I'll probably go pop some wire around these new ones just in case. Thank you :)
