Loki's weakness in the comics is water, when he gets wet he can't do any magic. I'm just imagining Thor casually pushing a screaming Loki into a pool.

Loki actually survived being headless once before, alot of ppl dont realize how powerful he was in the original comics.Classic Loki and Classic Strange were powerful as hell. He fought the Silver Surfer, defeated Beta Ray Bill who wasnt as good at seeing through his illusions as Thor was and even controlled Thor once. Depending on who was writing him too he could even trade blows with Thor but Thor always won that confrontation naturally.

I love Loki so much in the MCU. I hope he gets a show on Disney’s streaming network.

I'm just disappointed that the MCU doesn't use the full range of his abilities or even try to show how powerful he is.
Sam H Unfortunately the Vampires including Blade from the Blade movies went through this power nerf thing as well, and became barely considered supernatural at all compared to the comics version. In the comics they had Classic vampire weaknesses like religious objects can repell vampires but you have to have the same faith to make it work but in the movies they dont do jack squat.

It's wierd how everyone knows very well Loki is the prince of lies and a deal with him always gives you the shorter end of the stick, but they still fall for his schemes and are persuaded somehow to work with him.
I think that is his power. And in later comics, his curse; When he lies, people will believe him, despite knowing he is a god of lies. But when there are few times that he tries to speak the truth, (and the truth was important to Loki) no one believes him.
The exception was in spiderman comics; when Loki and spiderman teamed up for one time. Loki spoke honestly and spiderman believed him. Loki granted a favour to spiderman, because spiderman helped him.

I loved All Ewing's agent of Asgard, it had an awesome twist at the end.

The movie version of Loki is a weak villain in every sense of the word. He's not threatening or respected. The comic book Loki was the personification of evil. And I miss those days when he was drawn as a masculine evil guy with an average looking face, instead of that pretty boy they portray in comics now, mostly due to Hiddleston's popularity.

You should have mentioned that 'classic' Evil Loki, Kid Loki, and Teen Loki are all different 'person'.
And since the last Secret Wars, Loki is no longer God of Mischief/Lies but God of Stories.

7:55 btw that was actually a reincarnation of Loki, a new kid with his appearance and temperament, who then was overwritten by the old Loki and then he magically had his body aged up
In Norse mythology Loki is not evil, he just likes mischief and pranks, there are a few occasions where he does evil like causing Ragnarok but Thor and Loki are quite close and go on many adventures together

@Dr.feelalright Thats actually weird in comics, so in comics Loki is hela father and not her father what Hela doesnt tell Loki is that her real father was the previous incarnation of Loki who we never meet in comics. Because Hela and Odin always remember what happens after Ragnarok but the rest of the Asgardians do not.

In your reading recommendations you missed kidLoki's Journey into Mystery. A Comedy in 30 issues, a Tragedy in 31. As to this day it's the only comic I ever had a freak out "holy shit, holy shit, what happened, nonononono" for several hours. That one is emotionally a very interesting one
