Hey Zach, a question regarding the teleprompter. I have my current teleprompter mounted to the tripod with a friction arm and just stick the camera in from behind when its time to shoot... Would this be possible with the Prompter as well? And what front diameter lens would you guess be the thikkest for this lazy ass solution (I'm shooting my A's on the Sigma 18-35) And FX30 too. Thanks for the eggs btw
I have the prompter mounted to a FF lens. It comes with adapters for all lens sizes. It also comes with a multiple mounting options. I tried your suggestion and I felt it puts undue pressure to the lens. And it makes removing the prompter from the camera much more difficult or does not let you adjust the zoom, if you’re using a zoom lens.
Another idea to eliminate the Ninja and Rode CasterVideo (for XLR audio a recording monitor) is to use the 7” Blackmagic Video Assist. It has 2 xlr mini inputs, hdmi and sdi in/out and can record the video too. Plus you get a 2” larger screen. I’m guessing you’re using the “overkill” Rode CasterVideo b/c it was sent to you for testing/review or whatever so I get that. But that’s actually a cool idea if you want to drop in a few more camera angles.
Not a bad idea! Only issue is I'd have to totally swap my mic because I doubt the BVA has preamps as clean as rode to power a mic like this. But yeah the RCV does give me a lot of creative setup options for sure!
BUT where's the content creation on this setup... u .. peter n others are gone... there's no interest on ur channel in last couple of years ..feeling sorry guys for you.. one thing... some of you shifted to Sony done a good job.. also I have to do from canon
There's a couple little things I forgot to point out, like the camera mount and monitor mounts, but it's all linked in the description!
If you use a circular polarizer, you can mitigate the screen reflection, while maintaining your prompter brightness. *du du duuu, the more you know!*
This setup gives me so many ideas 🔥
Love this video Zach! 🔥 I built a studio on a desk , so I can do product b-roll too!
heck yeah, it's nice to remove those barriers so you can just turn everything on and S H O O T
I love my mix pre 3 and jamming timecode in to it
it's so good, insanely clean preamps as well!

this setup screams 'ultra efficient dad mode engaged'
yeah I should name it the "dad grinder" or something...
Using the rode procaster mic upside like that is diabolical but I’m impressed how good it sounds 😅
haha I know right! sounds so good tho so I'm rocking it
What kind of NPF batteries were those?
Smallrig! everything is linked in the description
