- Today, I share how to create a free email campaign in Canva and then launch this campaign with MailChimp.
Canva is a free design tool that allows you to simply create any type of business material.
Simply use Canva to create a beautiful email campaign with absolute ease. MailChimp is a free email marketing platform that we can use to upload the email campaign that we created in Canva.

Thanks!! First off, love your accent! And secondly, this is what I need to start doing...I use Canva for everything else but never connected it to my client's CRM before...I guess its not connected technically but mailchimp "accepts" the file at least. THANKS!!

Thank you; however, by following this method, you will have a hard time achieving responsive designs since they are not HTML-based. Additionally, the links will be general and not specific, resulting in large sections of emails functioning as links instead of solely the designated buttons. This can diminish the user experience, potentially be flagged as spam, and hinder accessibility for recipients with disabilities, as software designed to assist people with disabilities cannot read text within images.

On other videos, I've seen people suggest to use the basic stock format in MC as to avoid going into the spam folder. Is there much difference? Can the images sometimes get blocked?
Hey David,
I haven't seen a huge difference in the delivery. However, it is true that images can get blocked with some email clients.
Rule of thumb is always 60/40 text to image. Too many images and you will end up in the spam folder. If you follow the CAN-SPAM laws, then you should be able to avoid be spammed.

Of course you can connect buttons on your campaign to anywhere you like.

@@PohaiNuuhiwa You won't be able to do that. That's the downside of using blocks of images. A better way would be to use a combination of Canva and your ESP's (email service provider's) page builder, and then you can create links for each button.

Yes, you can. You can use Canva with most email marketing platforms.

Why use canva and export as jpg, I think a page builder bee will do a good job and you will have a responsive HTML page with active links and with user feedback i.e. micro-interactions

Yes it's true you can. This is just one method for those that want micro control over their design and do not have much experience.
If one does not have a business email, whats may be other alternatives?
You can use your free email too like Gmail. However, it's best to have your own business email.

Everytime i upload my designs to mailchimp there is always issues with the design. Have you come accross this and know how this can be fixed? The fonts looks blurry and line designs get cut off
Are you sure? What file type are your uploading?

Hi Stewart, great video though but my MailChimp account got suspended idk why. I did exactly the same, same template, same process, everything is the same. I'm a learner and am learning email marketing these days. Please help me find out what i did wrong that they suspended my account so that i won't repeat that mistake again in future. Please reply, that'll be very helpful for me.
I tried talking to the team MailChimp but i didn't work as they're not telling the exact main reason behind the action they took against my account.
Few things I am considering as a mistake i might have made are:-
1. Using other tools ( Canva ) to create campaign.
2. Using word like "Sale" might be wrong.

How to collect emails
Add a form on your website or drive people to a landing page. You can create these inside of MailChimp.
