Here’s a simple guide to creating a puff stitch flower:
Materials Needed:
- Yarn of your choice
- Crochet hook suitable for your yarn
- Scissors
- Yarn needle (optional for weaving in ends)
Instructions:
1. Make the Center Ring:
- Start with a magic ring and make chain first two chains are count as a half double crochet.
2. Round 1:
- Work 6 half double crochet stitches into the ring. and make a chain in between each of half double crochet stitch.
1. Yarn over, insert your hook into first gape, and make 3 chains then yarn over and pull up 10 loops on your hook then yarn over and pull up all these loops and make a chain to secure.
2. Yarn over and make 3 chains and do a slip stitch into the same gape.
3. Slip stitch into the next gape and repeat again the same work do 3 chains the yarn over pull up 10 loops then yarn over pull up all loops on your hook and make a chain to secure then again make 3 chains and slip stitch into the same gape do repeat this 4 more time.
4. Join with a sl st to the top of the first puff stitch. You should have 6 puff stitches in the round.
5. Finish:
- Fasten off and weave in your ends with a yarn needle, or use your hook to tuck them away.
For the center:
chain one on your hooke and do single crochet stitch then yarn over pull up 10 loops on your hook and then yarn over and pull all these loops on your Hook then make a chain to secure.now make a chain and cut the yarn .
Now with the help of your hook pull the strings backe the center of your flower and join then together then cut the yarn and hide the strings into the back of flower.The puff flower is ready.
This flower can be used as an embellishment on various projects or as a standalone decorative item.
