Hi Sarah, very nice build. Are you able to provide an approximate cost per a sq. ft. range? I'm trying to figure out a ballbark cost in comparison to a traditional build. Any info you can share would be greatly appreciated.
Very good information thank you!!! My wife and are wanting to do this. We stay in Orange Park Fl and plan on moving to Green Cove Springs or St Augustine. Definitely will have to do our research before we commit. A few questions about it 1: since you’re subbing out the work and doing some work yourself how do you with draw from the bank on your loan to pay the contractor? 2: is there home inspectors that approve foundation electrical plumbing to keep everything up to code etc…. 3: since you’re doing some work yourself do you have to be licensed? We are not taking out a loan. As we save money we complete a phase. No way are we giving our land/home in the hands of a bank. Our county requires inspection each step of the way. They make sure all work done is to code. In our county because we are the owners we do not have to be licensed.
