Hey Sarah, really nice house, I tought was not permitted to build with Post Framing without the standard framing inside of the pole Barn, we also bought some land in Florida recently and going to build soon, so was very interesting to see and I will next check with my county to check post framing build is permitted here. Thanks for sharing and would be really nice to see all the steps and updates about your house, I hope everything is well and you probably finished at this point. lol im from CLE. Going to be building a home in Rotonda West, Fl. Was thinking barndo but the HOA is strict on the style. I have yet to see ANY info on people drifting from the same barn look. We require Spanish/Mediterranean style. Have you seen anything about this or how to go about it, a builder?

My biggest concern is amount of heat that steel "siding" will produce. Don't you guys worried that it will be very hard to cool down the building?

I had a beautiful bamboo clump in my backyard that was a very dark green, the hurricane destroyed it and I want to put new starters on my empty lots. Do you have a variety that grows 35 ft tall really thick and stays dark dark green?

I be interested to see a specific law that says running bamboo is illegal to sell. Several places sell it and have been for years. I can't find anything that suggests it's illegal to sell and only thing that I saw even close only spoke of one species Phylosrachys aurea. Tecta bamboo is a native runner and not invasive and I'm pretty sure that is not illegal.
