Like, him being able to disguise himself to either protect Kyle and Sarah or undercover. And him being able to go toe to toe with another super advanced Terminator. This movie, while being completely dumb as hell, still had a few intriguing ideas. And at least its in an alternate universe where it's not directly affecting the timeline... until dark fate came along. 😒 0:55
Juan Loera I don’t know if that matters now, Terminator has been known have branching timelines. There’s the mainline which ends ends with John Connor as a senator, the T3 line which goes to salvation. The Sarah Connor Chronicles timeline. The gensyss line which picks off at the end of the war displayed in 2 which leads to a new timeline. And the the Dark Fate timeline which starts directly after 2. The moral of this story is T1 and T2 in is universe prime while everything after is else world.
@Syntex366 The T2 ending you described with John as a senator is a deleted ending. The canon, original ending for T2 left things on an uncertain, but hopeful tone, which allowed Hollywood to keep making sequels. I like both endings to T2 though. I consider the other sequels part of a multiverse.
a film that has good humor is very enjoyable... somewhere along the way people assumed that jokes must mean something is bad when a joke can be constructive and helpful in positive ways or even dark yet uplifting in a spiritual way that helps us confront fears while overcoming them
Many people said this is the first time Arnold survives. But there was also a videogame called Terminator 3: The Redemption where he did survived. We go to the Terminator POV where he still actived and John shows up and took his CPU and puts him in a Mech.
Basically that vat of liquid metal was enough mass for the T-800 to create liquid metal limbs that he lost to John Connor and that time machine, I wonder how he got it all to connect to his torso
Honestly, I don't remember really any hate for GENESYS. I saw it a few weeks after its release, and really enjoyed it. And reading about on the message boards the following day the reactions were also rather positive. Likewise, the reviews thought well of the flick as well. The big issue was that a lot of the film was spoiled by the trailers for it.
Because it's shit, every Terminator after 4 is hot garbage trash. Critics are notorious for being opposite of a film, of they say it's good, it's really trash, and if they say it's bad, then it's really good. @@interpl6089 3 was probably the worst, it lost most of the urgency in its tone, happens mostly during daytime, and completely shits on the message of T2 (there is no fate but what we make), that's probably its biggest sin. This is the only terminator movie I really didn't like (haven't seen dark fate yet) BUT I do love how the T800 falls into the mimetic polly alloy and uses it to make a new body. That part was awsome.
2:59
LMAO Arnold you massive troll !!!
It is called we do various levels of Prankage
I just got upgraded.... Now let's never make another terminator film agen
Everyone says this was a horrible movie, but honestly, this is way better than T3 and Dark fate combined. I like this one.
T-1000: :D
Connor: You know that's pretty disturbing right
T-1000: :(
Great. Now i feel sad for a machine
I love it how T-800 or 850 (I didn't watch the movie) smiles. It was a good one for a death machine who isn't programmed to smile.
Well skynet actually learn thing...cant really called them a "programmed machine"
T-850 was from Terminator 3 and This one took the smiling stuff from Terminator 2 deleted scenes where John tells The Terminator to smile. He scans a guy smiling on a phone booth and stares at John smiling which he thought it was a bad idea and told him it's better to do it in front of a mirror.
"Skynet is gone."
Legion: "Ohai Kyle"
0:25 he should’ve said “Terminated” or “he is terminated” would’ve been so iconic

Can some one tell me why the fuck 0:30 Kyle doesn't look more relieved at least at this part, i mean, you survived an explosion, pops still alive and he admits the big baddie is down. He should at least be more enthusiastic, because right now he looks high asf, just reading off whats the line on the paper given to him.
2:58 hahahaha this still gets me 🤣🤣🤣
0:25 "Terminated" would be more appropriate answer.
Terminator’s smile... priceless!
I was excited like a kid to see Pops made it in the end😅...he really meant it this time "I'll be back"😂
Agree with me or not..... I just realized that I actually really love the idea of T-800 getting a T-1000 upgrade
I agree even tho that's pretty much TX
He couldn't morphed his skin into his younger self.
Terminator Genisys had potential to be a good sequel! With a better cast

I didnt think this movie was that bad. It was entertaining on its own. After Dark Fate came out, this movie turned into a masterpiece.
both are just as bad
Both killed off John Connor. Worst movie sins. Same like Disney Starwars killing off the main cast.
Genesis was even worse. They even made John Connor the villain. How stupid is that.
@@sonyx4500 I think John Connor's importance is greatly exaggerated by fans. The protagonist of T1 and T2 was Sarah, not John. Also, with Judgment Day averted in T2, John's future role was no longer necessary. I think making John the villain was a nice subversion of expectations. Don't forget in Genisys Sarah and Kyle can still mate and produce a new John
@@SaturnineXTSWithout John sending Kyle Reese. The Humans would have been doomed. John helped the Resistance defeating Skynet in the Future. He was the most important character. He also sent the T-800 back. Without it they would never be able to change the Future.

Such a shame we never saw this Terminator in a later movie

0:25 I was kind of curious about where they were going to go after this. Especially with pops being upgraded to liquid metal. I thought that was very interesting. So many possibilities.
How come do we come from T-2 to this? How?
And dark fate
If your weren't so god damn stupid. I'd counter that.

Pops is now upgraded. And it called to him as Series Model 1850/T-1850
In theory what happened to John just got prevented.
I don't know, man. Skynet of the future is already aware of resistance troops doing time travel, that's what Matt Smith's character implies.
Syntex366 Haven’t seen dark fate either. But you kinda just summed up my opinion. T1 & T2 complete story. The rest branch timelines.
@@johnniecinco6698 the Alternative Universe Cybermen upgraded The Doctor
@Syntex366 The T2 ending you described with John as a senator is a deleted ending. The canon, original ending for T2 left things on an uncertain, but hopeful tone, which allowed Hollywood to keep making sequels. I like both endings to T2 though. I consider the other sequels part of a multiverse.
seeing pops smile like that is just creepy anyone agree?
Sarah: **kissing**
Arnold: this puts a smile on my face
The actors looked embarrassed about what had become of the franchise.
a film that has good humor is very enjoyable... somewhere along the way people assumed that jokes must mean something is bad when a joke can be constructive and helpful in positive ways or even dark yet uplifting in a spiritual way that helps us confront fears while overcoming them
Seeing terminator Pops toothy smile cracks me up every time 😆.
Many people said this is the first time Arnold survives. But there was also a videogame called Terminator 3: The Redemption where he did survived. We go to the Terminator POV where he still actived and John shows up and took his CPU and puts him in a Mech.
Genisys makes Terminator 3 look like one of the best movies of all time!!!!
They both are best
nah, T3 sucked ass
The big issue is this & every Terminator after 4(3sucked ass too) is they're extremely terrible.
@@jonhall2274 3 Wasn't That Bad, It was Trying Something and Fucked it Up, Not Bad but not that Good.
it was shit, if it wasnt a terminator movie, it could have been received okay, but it is a terminator movie, and it was fucking bad because of it. she knows about t1000's, and she just runs up and hugs him? the movie had all kinds of retarded shit that didnt make sense if you had more than 2 brain cells firing.
and i dont know what boards you were on, but the internet rejected this turd immediately, and very loudly. you may be confusing this with salvation. that one wasnt a really great terminator movie, but it at least didnt have dumb shit that didnt make sense. it was received okay. some hated it, but most found it good, and most like it better than 3.
@@interpl6089 3 was probably the worst, it lost most of the urgency in its tone, happens mostly during daytime, and completely shits on the message of T2 (there is no fate but what we make), that's probably its biggest sin. Genisys actually tried being creative with the timelines, and DF was an attempt at a direct sequel to T2 that didn't completely invalidate what they did in that movie, wasn't that good at it though
A lot of people will say that Genisys and Dark Fate are bad movies, but a Terminator movie without Arnold Schwarzenegger is simply not a Terminator movie
2:48 I bet the actors felt awkward during this scene
They did
when terminator smiles i died with laughter 😂

So the other films are retconned now huh?
It doesn’t matter, most people have forgotten about this movie.
not so much retcon'd as just alternate timelines. dark fate and T3 are alternate branching timelines from T2. not real sure where salvation or genisys fall in the terminator multiverse though
