Hi Alex, Great video. I have just bought a 6040 cnc router. I have a desktop computer with windows 7pro and using mach3. I'm trying to find a good pci card to use for the parallel port. Do you have any suggestions please. Terry.
Voyager, Good video I appreciate the .tap files as well. I am a new to CNC and I got one of these little machines as well so far it seems to be a work horse for all my errors I have been looking at your files the only question I have are the specifics of the tool you programmed this for. I would assume that if I use a different tool then it would throw off the final product. Can you point me in the right direction?
Hello Joshua, if you load a 3mm endmill (2 flute) and assume that the material is 10mm and reference the top centre of the workpiece you should be pretty safe for all the machining. I hope that helps.
I would like to know the diameter of your spindle because I own a 2.2kW spindle and I think he is a bit bigger, I think I need to modify files. Only I have a problem I have no solidworks. Can you tell me how big is your spindle opening. thank you in advance
Hello Walya . I have used the show on both 1.5kw and 2.2kw spindles as they are both 80mm in diameter. So you should not have a problem. Good luck and let me know how you go.
The material I used was 10mm, which provides good holding surface plus a deep enough channel for the dust to pass through. However if I was to make another, I would probably use 15mm.
Great sir, is almost impossible for me to find plexiglass thicker than 10mm . In Europe, these things are very expensive.Sometimes I think the prices are not real, it is almost ten times higher range than glass. I want to thank you for your support, geat job
Great little design! The dust was the thing stopping me picking one of these routers up, no longer an issue thanks to you :)
Agree - I used to dread the thought of having to clean up after using the machine before I built this saw dust shoe!.
Great design. Thanks for sharing.
Congratulations. Great Job!!!
Thankyou...
Hi Alex, files not available, any possibility of providing again thanks.
Hi Strefflyer,
I'm sorry for the late reply. I have fixed the link.

Hi Terry, yes I use the cnc4pc.com/c10-bi-directional-parallel-port-interface-card.html boards. These have been very reliable for me with Mach3. Alex
I just got the USB version, then you don't have to worry about parallel ports or using windows 7.
Hello Voyager, the files aren't available anymore. Is it possible to update the link please.
And thanks for your video. :)
Thanks for letting me know. It is now fixed. Dropbox changed some of its policies regarding public files recently and that caused the problem.
files are gone again i guess. i have the same machine so this would have been great. do you still have your tap files to re-up?
@@thedarkmatterplanet Hi I just checked, and they are still there - please try again if you still need them.

just a quick question, how thick was the material for dust shoe ???
