Nice, I did same thing but had one issue. Magnets hold only up-down but left right movement they start to slide, so I made small pins on the side to hold it. You did this one really nice, hf and may it serve you well.

Thanks Majsta, Wow you must have some serious forces in play for the magnets to slide laterally. What are you machining?!?!?

@@ThisDesignedThat Its the clamps, when I cut deeper. If they are bit in the way or parts of workpice, dustshoe then tends to slide off. Ahh nothing serious for now, just some hobby machining for now.

Can you share or sell your build file? I'm rebuilding a Shapeoko using a ROTOZIP and it kicks a lot of fine dust (30,000 RPMs)
      Thanks

Great job and nice design!! Next time on those magnet holes drill a 3mm or so through hole on the bottom of each. This way you can push out a magnet if you need too.

The brushes get in the way. Good try mimicking KentCNC dust boot though

Very cool work! So what would be the ideal skirt length? Average bit length +10mm?

i think mine is about 10cm, if its too long or short I just move the dust shoe up and down on the spindle to get the length i need

Hi, that's inspiring. If I join your patreon, will I get the design files?
