Today I had the chance to see the biggest Disneyland memorabilia exhibit at the Van Eaton galleries in Burbank, Joel Magees collection of over 1600 items from Disneyland and Disney World will be auctioned off on July 17, till the 19th. Absolutely incredible artifex from postcards, souvenirs, park rides, real cars, clothing, and many more things. It was incredible to see the history from Disneyland and Disney World.
This was great to see. Thanks.
I worked for Disney Studio for about seven years. When I was younger I had known a very nice older woman named Mary Jones. Mary was one of the top executives at Disneyland. I would sometimes go out and see her. It was great. After we had a chat she and I would walk around behind the scenes of the park. I would get to see the “mechanics” of it. The stuff the public never saw. Then she would escort me to a doorway. When she opened the door I saw Disneyland park! Right there. She then said her goodbye to me and told me I was free to enter the park! So I did. Had the rest of the day to myself inside the entire park! I was so grateful to her. A great wonderful woman. Disney was lucky to have her! We kept in touch while I was working at Disney until she retired. Great memories of her and how nice she was. Great memories too of the park!
out for sharing your Mary memory!👏🏼
THANKS for sharing….autocorrect went crazy😵💫
Thanks for visiting this auction Mike! You said earlier in the video "not everyone can make it here." I'm in a wheelchair and live on the East Coast so it would be very rough to visit California so I'm thankful that you filmed this so I can check out all of this stuff. I'm not a big Disney fan but I love to hear the GIV's commentary no matter where he goes. Thank you Mike!
I live in the LA area my but my legs are weak and tired and so when I went to Disneyland two weeks ago we used the chair... So glad GIV did this video because I would not want to walk around that whole big space -but so grateful he did it for us ❤️☺️
Yes itd be tough to wheel all the way over there for sure
You’re a good guy Mike. You are humble. A rarity nowadays. You are also young at heart. Which is great! Thanks for all your videos. It’s a lot of work. Appreciate it. 👏
Thank you for this as I remember my Mom took me there when I was 10, flying from NYC /JFK to CA!!😊💕
That stuff is way beyond what I could afford. The Haunted Mansion pieces are to die for. Dang. In Orlando I was in a couple of warehouses back in the '90's full of things that they had collected through the years and never would sell. There was stuff in there from planned rides that were never implemented into Disneyworld. They had a whole monorail train and another steam-type train in there. Tons of props, mechanical figures (some from Disneyland) and tropical decorations to the ceiling.
Those ghosts that was hitchhiking out with you. They would say "GOING MY WAY"
My neighbor in floral park ,queens was a close friend and artist for Walter Disney.they we're good friends.he gave me templates that make the cartoons.i am 56 ,Mr. Walsh was in his 80's back in the 1970's when I was a kid.he told us many stories working for Walter Disney, all good😊.
Having worked at WDW Florida starting in 1974 I was involved with maintaining so many of the things shown from rides we had! Many memories and it was nice to know one of the designers of Small World dolls! I often had to do walks with her through Small World to help her maintain the quality of the show! Nice visit through lots of good history of good times for so many!
You had to buy tickets to get on each ride. Some rides required an “A” ticket etc.
Would love to see the GIV having fun at Disneyland.❤️
I would love to see him with the Disney youtubers like Adam The Woo and JustinScarred

Very interesting and soooooooooooooooooooo much fun, as usual!!!!
Thanks so much for taking us along!!!!
It was awesome!!!!
Thank you SO much Mike, for taking me back to my childhood spent at Disneyland in the 60's and 70's. I remember seeing so many of those actual things. Fabulous collection, I don't how he can let them go. ❤
Thank you so much for showing us all these neat things, so many sweet memories! Thank you for taking us with you!! I would never have had the chance to see this without you! We love GIV
Oh WOW! I’ve never even been anywhere like that but sure watched Disney movies my whole life. Your videos are always so great, I remember when you first started, even then you weren’t to bad☺️☺️😉😉 Always informative , and always a pleasure to watch. I’ve learned a lot from things and places I’ve always knew about, but never had a chance to see personally.. Thanks Mike👏🏼✌🏼
GREAT 👍 JOB G-i-V showing us that remarkable collection of Disney memorabilia. Incredible displays inside that former BedBath&Beyond store. A+ Very Enjoyable video!
Mike you are my spirit animal. I love your videos, you are awesome.
Those beautiful posters took my breath away. The vibrant colors, composition and content are amazing!
Wow! What an amazing collection.
When I was growing up in nearby City of Norwalk in the 1970s, when we went to Disneyland it was just the best experience. I have such good memories of visiting with my family members. Thanks for the nice video as always! Keep up the good work, Mike!
You the Man! Beautiful collection, thanks for bringing us along. I cant believe Adam the Woo is missing this.
Thanks Mike!! Appreciate you making this tour so much fun. A lot of those attraction posters once belonged to a buddy of mine.
Thank You
Awesome
Nice Video. I really enjoyed seeing all this old Disneyland memorabilia.
What a collection thanks for sharing your adventures with us mike i really appreciate your videos 👍
This is great, Mike. I love the maps and all the mechanical stuff. You are so lucky. You are in the midst of most of our childhood and cultural history. Another brilliant video, Mike. You are so awesome, thanks, brother❤👊👍🙌
Awesome video 😎 GIV thanks for sharing and good morning 🌞 my friend, stay safe.😊
Fantastic tour. You covered a great amount of memorabilia, but probably less than half of this collection. Thanks for this excellent tour, the GiV way.
Can you imagine how much this guy spent on all that stuff?!🤑
Hello from FL. Consider doing a video from Disneyland ;) that would be fun
Yet another Oscar winning video!! Mike, I've given you so many views from me going back to rewatch it. By far this is the most times I have ever paused a video to see things. I have at least a dozen things I saw up for auction. In the 60's, my mother and I would go to Disneyland at least once a month. Where she worked someone would give her passes. We went at least 200 times. We loved it so much that we would somedays just ride certain rides over and over or just sit in certain areas and watch things going on or just go and get a good meal. Disneyland. Universal Studios, Knotts Berry Farm and Hollywood boulevard was a huge part of me youth. Thank you Mike for all your hard work. BTW you look great! Much love. Anthony.
Just one word "wow" ❤️ thanks for the video Mike
Keep up the good videos my friend
Hi Mike, thanks for the Video. I enjoyed it during breakfast in Germany. Very nice idea to make a video about this Disney exhibit. I hope your next video is comming soon 😎
The map by Reymond w/Disney was done in a weekend. Incredible. This is the original pencil on vellum version which was later transferred for copies, which where then colored. The vellum version is the version presented to the investors.
Hello GIV from Tennessee and I’m a big fan of yours love all your videos and always give you a thumbs up but just wanted to say hello and keep doing what you doing ✌️
WOW!! I remember all that cause I was born in 59 , I still have my mickey ears! Amazing..
Enjoyed this auction 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Oh how I wish I were there looking at the Disney memorabilia. Thanks, GIV, for making me jealous - 😂✌🏻❤️
Edit** - I have that Snow White pez set, I got it at auction here on the east coast for $40. Wonder how much they had on it.
$40 that was a good deal. 👍🏻
@acropolis - you think so? I got it 2-3 years ago at an antiques auction. (Even though it’s not antique).
Pez Disney characters are now hard to find. Keep it safe and you will see how much it will cost 10 years from now.
Thanks for the great documentation of these pieces of Disney History! BTW, the broom is from Fantasia.
You always have such cool stuff. What an awesome Vlog this was.
I remember when there were real women dressed as mermaids sitting on the rocks by the submarine ride and an old lady dressed as tinker bell and slid down from the Matterhorn on a wire. Oh yes, and two very tall people a woman and a man dressed as space pilots for the ride to the moon.
Cool exhibit. Brought back memories of days gone by and made me feel old 😂😂
Great work keep doing it...
That's so cool, I need to see this in person now.
thank you was enjoyable
Hey, did everyone go see the Movie
Sound of Freedom?
Best Hollywood Film of '23
What a great collection 😊 I have an old photo of me, my siblings and my best friend sitting in that blue global van lines truck that we took at Disneyland in the 70s❤ Yes, GIV, you need to go back to Disneyland with Adam the woo!
Hello yinz beautiful people of the world.
Great video.
Man, great video, Thanks!!!
At first I didn't think I would like this video, but I really liked it! It was really interesting!❤😊 😊
Thank you for sharing wish I could go to Disneyland miss going there 😊
Awesome GIV 👍👍👍
Great video Mike
What Walt created was pure magic
What it has become is so sad …
Poor Walt is spinning in his grave 😢
Tiki tiki tiki tiki!!😂...thank you for the laughs. You Rock!! 😘 😅❤✌
I’m glad you got to see these Disneyland artifacts. They do definitely bring a smile.
i love all of your awesome videos
1955 was a great year, the birth of Disneyland, the Flux Capacitor, and me. 😉 Thanks for GiV'ng !👍
I was born in 1976 the bicentennial year I'm 47 I'm considered as a bicentennial baby. Lol
To see all the Disney stuff blows my mind! . I'm kicking myself. After my parents passed away I had to empty the house. I discovered my mom saved EVERYTHING from a trip our family took to Disneyland back in the 70's. Stuck away in a file cabinet, Ticket books maps posters my mickey ears so much stuff!! - nobody wanted it so I tossed it in the garbage.....just kill me now.
O-M-G! 😱
What a fun video 😊
Thanks for sharing, that was interesting albeit expensive.. :)
Thank you for sharing yes where I live are malls are empty too so sad 😮
The Tiki room is my favourite at Disneyland. A great place to sit and cool down on a busy day. Then you can get a Dole pineapple treat afterwards.😊
Oh my goodness, it's a good thing I don't live down there! Thank you for showing us this awesome collection. I have a few Disney collectibles and would love more. Especially the Dumbo items!
Great video ,great content ❤
Looks amazing 🎉
Thank you GIV ✅🇺🇸🇫🇷
Mike is a hustler. You will hit 1M subs!
In fact you’re a Mickey as a Michael 😅
Can't wait for the GIV auction.
Would have been fun to zoom into the E ticket, remember the slang term "that's an E ticket ride" the ultimate in thrills.
Yay!! I asked, you if u could pls film, this event. TY, so much Mike! Wish, I could be there, for the auction. Next, best thing!
Thank you from Stanton CA to Sapulpa 👍

GIV you have done an absolute amazing job in this video. There are so many incredible pieces I would love to have but couldn't even begin to afford. Just to walk through this with you brings back a lot of incredible memories as a kid.

Merchandise
Excellent video.. Great content ! Thanks GlV !!!
Thank you for going there! As a huge Disney fan I really enjoyed seeing all of this.
GIV brings me back to 50 years ago.
❤❤❤
Very good, your video is better than some Disney Vloggers I follow.
As always you never disappoint 🌿
The informal approach is most welcome.
Keep 'em coming.🌄
Interesting fun fact, any unused admission ticket or pass is still valid at Disneyland for a general admission, although it’s worth more to collectors
I have one from 1985 when I went there for Grad Nite '85 !
Wht up GIV New York Italians say hi we luv ur videos! Grazie
Wow. This was great.
Maybe some day you could take us to Jay's Garage. I think it's in Burbank too.
😎👍
Love your videos. I watch them when I am at the Bob Hop airport in Burank. 😂
Can't believe you didn't remember the broom guy... From Fantasia.... Mikey himself is a magician's helper. And becomes curious of the magicians magic book, while he's away... Eventually ending up with endless ones of these broom guys, moving water for Mickey until there's a flood....
Thanks Mike! I remember the Fantasia movie with the "Sorcerer's Apprentice" in which mickey is naughty and uses magic to make all the brooms walk with buckets of water until the place is flooding. That's where that walking broom is coming from, great piece!
So you really did not buy anything? That shows discipline... 😁😁 Greeting from The Netherlands
I'm no big fan of Disney but definitely a cool video. GIV always finding the spots!! Stay safe GIV!
Looking at those items brings back memories from my childhood going to Disneyland in Anaheim.
I have an old Sweda mechanical cash register from Disneyland that I found on Craigslist many years ago. These machines were found in every souvenir shop, restaurant and souvenir kiosk throughout the park up until the early 1980’s. From what I was told from former owner, my register was originally in a clock shop on Main Street in Disneyland.
One of my childhood friend’s who lived down the street from me, both her mother and father worked for Disney in Burbank. Her mother worked in the Animation department and father used to write comic books. They used to take us kids to the studios for tours and watch premiers of new animated movies.
Really nice, Walt Disney is a big part of Southern California History 👍🏻
Awesome video thanks I enjoyed watching
I'm 25 minutes into your video. That dancing broom with the mop was from beauty and the beast where the people from the castle were turned in items like dishes, clocks , and sugar bowl tea cups. Extr extr.
GIV! Love this tour! Thank you for showing us even though you're not a big fan of everything Disney❤❤
MIKE WHAT A TOUR 💯GREAT PRODUCTION FOR ALL THE WORLD TO SEE.💯👍THANKS
Hey great video. lots of nice memorabilia. Would love to see your video of Star Wars Galaxy Edge. Have not been there since it was built. I am a huge Star Wars fan. I went to Star Wars Cerebration back in 2015. Keep up the great work.
