@@khalidpryce8972 You see, conventional wisdom would have expected that have happened last season, given she was already 36! As for Richardson, she always starts the season “promisingly” 🤓
Loved this!!!! It was well informed and exquisitely curated! It puts into proper perspective, why she is honestly deserving of the 2023's Sports Woman Award, and it definitely obliterates all narrow viewpoints by showing the magnitude of the sport and how she impacted each of those elements as a MOTHER SPRINTER! I've always been amazed by her longevity in the sport even through motherhood (C-section), so the most profound to me is to be at the ages of 35, 36, and "37" running her fastest times of her career and in history🤞. Statistically, most female sprinters her age now are WELL retired or is probably just hanging on to maybe run one leg in a relay🤝("IF"). But Shelly Ann is rewriting physiological constructs, and she has also set insane records in the Master Class League 🤯 where most women are usually burnt out. In this league, "10.62s" 🤯and her other times are almost in that "unattainable-like feeling" as like the 10.49s -(Flo Jo's world record), because that HIGH quality of mark SAFP set in the Masters League is now requiring an older league of women, where statistically most have physiologically declined or is declining, to now defy "an odd within an odd"... So as a mother at her age, she has made a bigger impact for me as A WOMAN "all-around": through having a child (where most women sprinters sometime never rebound: C-SECTION); through female's usual physiological decline phase (~30 to 33ish); and even through her injuries and other challenges as a woman. She transcends so many dynamics of a woman; Moreover, she has also succeeded while depicting so many aspects of womanhood, that I can see how her phenomenal 2022 achievements can supersede just "having a world record". Shelly is changing and writing new chapters in the pages of Track and Field. Her compatriot, Usain Bolt, shares a similar legacy in that they'd both defied physiological constructs. Statistically guys 6'5" wasn't as successful in the short sprints due to usually having poor turn over rates, and difficulties with proper starting execution... but Bolt, however, changed the pages of sprinting as being a guy his height to get those turn overs to clock insane times. Now coaches are sometimes seeking taller sprinters who can potentially replicate Bolts physiological capabilities in hopes to create, the next Bolt. However, Shelly also has that impact of a legacy, where she is rewriting the Track and Field books by deconstructing limitations, pioneering possibilities, inspiring disbelievers, and showing the world something we've never seen before or may never see again for generations!!!🤷♂️ This video is so awesome. It's almost as if she can use this as her resume. Well done 👏 👌
