After trying scotch the first time, I can never drink corn liquor again.
“Oh that’s easy”
*me instantly singing Dr Scotch! 🎶
I prefer bourbon but not makers
Makers is weird. Cool bottle, but the contents have a funky flavor. For the money at that price it'd be way better to go with Elijah Craig.
@c3bhm now thats what I'm talking about
I thought that's supposed to be the gold standard or something..I see that's the fancy one but the normal one. Not many brands available in my country, & they're all quite pricey, esp in the last few years prices have jumped, since covid (had liquor bans). In trying to diversify, get into Americans, tried wild turkey, & jack Daniels rye (as there's only 1 other which is insanely priced (Woodford reserve), which I didn't like
It’s just a shame that there aren’t any men left drinking rye but more for me I guess😂
because rye is the most inferior of all whiskey grains
@@jeremytheoneofdestiny8691 sounds like you can’t handle RYE little boy…maybe your dad oughta taught ya how to be a man
I just tried it, only available brands in my country are jack Daniel & Woodford reserve, both are expensive but the latter is double the price. I tried but didn't like the jack.
Dr. Scotch is the man!! Everything I know about Whiskey I learned from S4D and Dr. Scotch! Cheers!🥃
One is foreign and nasty and the other is delicious and AMERICAN 🇺🇸! Done
Scotches just taste sad. Bourbons taste like freedom. You only grow barley when your land is barren and you need it to survive in the cold rain. Whereas corn and wheat are universally delicious.
@@c3bhm hell YES!!! 😎🎸🇺🇸
Classic chicanery from uncultured Americans. Enjoy your corn juice, we’ll keep all our whiskies to ourselves thank you very much!
You can brag as long as you want, with your furniture cleaner, single malt is unbeattable
@@ioanpuia6150 not even close. Nasty ass liquid ash tray 🤣🤣🤣🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Scotch is great but I have a love for bourbon.
Try earn more money.
Book leather?
Il go for beer 😂😂😂
Age in whiskey, barrel choice is all the fun and price. 12 year old whiskey everytime.
Yummyyy the taste of…”book leather”??Why would anyone want to taste that?😅
I mean it's a tasting note, one often alongside many, it's not like you are snogging library's copy of King James'. Tastes are pretty much just aroma compounds and smell if one of the strongest sense memories we have. So those notes can elict nostalgic memories, or combine with other notes to make a meals worth of flavor.
yup like for me that macallen bottle taste reminds me of when its pouring outside and youre sitting on your wooden deck and you can smell the wet wood. that smell reminds me lf the taste of the bottle and it just brings memories
@@tahlon8200 Best comment. Totally accurate.
@@c3bhm glad someone else agrees!
it's kinda the note people look for in old scotch and bourbon to be fair...
They use, used whiskey barrels to store Scotch 😂
True, but Scotch, whether New Make Spirit or transferred Spirit, any type of cask can store the Scotch, new barrel or used barrel, as long as it sits for 3 years in a cask. The Scots are thrifty, so used whisky barrels from America were cheep, as the Bourbon laws state only new barrels can be used 😄.
Malt distillate from a pot still has a lot more character than corn distillate from a column still. Used casks don't destroy the flavor of good distillate like new oak casks do.
The difference is scotch tastes like a burnt used band aide and boubon tastes good!
Hear hear! Take some Irish whiskey and soak a band-aid in it overnight... Viola, you've got 'pEaTeD' scotch.
Single malt is just a marketing gimmick
Maker's 46 is Technically not a bourbon😹😹😹
Dr Scotch I was expecting you to pull out a nicely peated Scotch Whisky from under the Bar …..🥃😜
Glenlivet Fusion is much better than Macallan 12 Sherry Cask. I do like Scotch, but nothing beats a good American bourbon! Scotch isn't aged in New barrels, they are aged in used American bourbon barrels. Even the Scots know used American bourbon gives their juice a better flavor.
Well Bourbon has to be aged in new oak exclusively or else it's not definitionally Bourbon and is would literally be a crime to do so. As a result of this sort of regulation there is a surplus of perfectly good barrels that cannot be used to make another run of Bourbon, so it's is often more economical for those barrels to imported to Scotland for their whiskey aging. So much so that using for example Sherry casks from within the UK would require a price premium be attached to the production bottle.
@@AlKohaiMusic Sherry casks come from Spain, not the UK
New oak ruins good distillate.
@@darlsbarkley3493 Charred.
Love a good bourbon, prefer it over scotch
I prefer Gin
"Gin. I knew there was something wrong with that guy. I never saw a gin drinker yet you could trust."
@@c3bhm Tell that to Ryan Reynolds or Cillian Murphy
Why drink bourbon if you can drink scotch?
Regular Makers is better than Makers's 46.
Prefers Single Malt, then drinks a 12yr Macallan (which isn't that good)
What about malted whiskey.
Poor info.
Bourbon is minimum of 51% corn matured in virgin oak for at least 2 years.
Single malt Scotch is 100% malted barley produced in batches in a single distillery and matured in oak for at least 3 years.
Always scotch😊
guys, how did your comments get invaded by the most unhinged bourbon bozos?? 😂
Doesn't Scotch also need to be made in Scotland?
And bourbon needs to be made in the US. But the other stuff is way more important.
No, most Scotch is actually made in Florida.
its all good.
c'mon.
🥃..✌️
😂❤
I find Scotch disgusting. Feel like we all have diff taste buds! Bookleather??????
Macallan????? That’s a terrible option. Arran is so much better
thats no scotch, if its from scotland its whisky
Scotch is whisky from Scotland. That's why the label says "single malt scotch whisky"
@@darlsbarkley3493 scotch is what Americans call whisky from Scotland, its just whisky here
@@jakegilbert9399 most of the world isn't in Scotland. The world outside of Scotland tends to refer to it as scotch whisky because just whisky doesn't narrow it down much.
@@jakegilbert9399 the label says scotch...even there.
Can you review the Kirkland signature lowland scotch
Why....
@@beebobox it’s a channel dedicated to drinking scotch brother…… 😂😂😂
Scotch sux. Any decent whiskey is better.
Bourbon vs Scotch, what's the difference?
Bourbon (and Canadian whisky) is for beginners and women. Scotch (and Rye) is for real whisky drinkers.
Are Americans allowed to make scotch and call it scotch?
Nope, but we now have American Single Malt which is as close as we can get. In order to be called Scotch, has to come from Scotland and must, by law, be distilled and matured in Scotland in oak casks for at least three years and bottled at a minimum alcoholic strength of 40% abv.
