I've seen a lot of content on TikTok about "dark humor" recently, so I wanted to discuss the recent events and my overall thoughts on the subject. Enjoy!

I LOVE posting dark humor jokes, but when one of my friends are uncomfortable with one, I don’t call them any names, I just delete the posts. Or if anyone if uncomfortable with the dark humor joke I posted I’ll take it down, but I don’t understand when people call people names over it. I personally live for dark humor but I can understand other people don’t like it so it’s just more simple to take down the post I made

I had a "friend" that called my Hispanic best friend horrible things based off of offensive stereotypes and called them "jokes". After my SA when I was 12, people that I was close to would make jokes about it and expect me to find it funny. I am so glad that Kurtis spoke out against dark jokes because they are damaging and offensive.
That’s the thing. I have friends of different groups who lean into the stereotypes and stuff for the sake of humor because we find it funny. But we don’t try and pull those jokes around other people, because chances are they won’t find it fucking funny.
