I adore the fact that this a healthy LGBT+ relationship. Both have feelings and both help one another its not baised in toxicity for drama or conflict its simple and a clear way if showing two people caring. Most relationships in shows regardless have drama or conflict or its so toxic been together is such a bad idea but yet the writers force it for the sake of a ship. This one dosent its well done and very sweet each character is good for one another. Amity grounds Luz and cares for her and Luz has really helped Amity come out if her shell and out of her families expectations they can both be happy. It's lovely to see a healthy relationship in media these days and I hope it continues to be healthy with no forced drama.

Over the years there’s been an uptick of healthy relationships in media, if you know where to look. It’s all about the influx of new writing talent. It doesn’t matter if a relationship is LGBT+ or not. I wish LGBT+ characters weren’t referred to in terms of “representation” by conservatives and progressives alike, and were just allowed to exist. Just treat and judge them as you would people. Whether an LGBT relationship is healthy or not doesn’t matter (except for if it makes a good story) because our ideas of how fiction affects reality are all wrong.

If there's one thing that had me worried since we first saw Amity crushing on Luz, it was that they were going to have a needlessly complicated romance relationship with another character or two with what I call the "cheating subplot". You know, where these are are in a relationship (either with each other or other people) and through circumstances, they kiss each other and try to hide it from the SO/pretend it never happened. Like with Star Vs. or Legend of Korra. From what I can tell, it seems to just be going straight for Amity and Luz with no unnecessary fluff and I like that.
The creator, Dana, said in interviews that she just wanted to show a couple of girls having a nice relationship. To her, that’s what representation truly is. No unnecessary drama. She also made a point that no conflict in this show will be because of something like that, but rather actual physical stakes in the world of Owl House. The Boiling Isles is a representation of an ideal world where conflict doesn’t arise from people simply being themselves or trying to force their own personal agendas on one another. It’s a new kind of representation that simply shows something like two girls together as completely healthy and normal. It’s subtle yet powerful and I, for one, am HERE for it!
This legitimately caught us all off guard. I literally choked on my drink when this happened. I'm so glad they're being forward with this relationship development, especially knowing how shy some shows can be for a long time about non straight relationships.
No bruh. There is Gravity Falls,Star and Amphibia. A kiss doesn't change the pacing of this show. Every episode is filler and the ending is just part of the real story.
Okay yes the kids was absolutely amazing but I love how despite Ed and Em being known as the “annoying older siblings” they also can connect with Amity and help her like in this episode. Like how Emira didn’t tease Amity while they were talking about her feelings, and how The twins went and helped amity dye her hair. I’m glad that all of the blight siblings are able to connect like that and help each other.

they are so fruity and cute I LOVE THEM.
If there's one thing that had me worried since we first saw Amity crushing on Luz, it was that they were going to have a needlessly complicated romance relationship with another character or two with what I call the "cheating subplot". You know, where these are are in a relationship (either with each other or other people) and through circumstances, they kiss each other and try to hide it from the SO/pretend it never happened. Like with Star Vs. or Legend of Korra.
From what I can tell, it seems to just be going straight for Amity and Luz with no unnecessary fluff and I like that.
The creator, Dana, said in interviews that she just wanted to show a couple of girls having a nice relationship. To her, that’s what representation truly is. No unnecessary drama. She also made a point that no conflict in this show will be because of something like that, but rather actual physical stakes in the world of Owl House. The Boiling Isles is a representation of an ideal world where conflict doesn’t arise from people simply being themselves or trying to force their own personal agendas on one another. It’s a new kind of representation that simply shows something like two girls together as completely healthy and normal. It’s subtle yet powerful and I, for one, am HERE for it!

Okay yes the kids was absolutely amazing but I love how despite Ed and Em being known as the “annoying older siblings” they also can connect with Amity and help her like in this episode.
Like how Emira didn’t tease Amity while they were talking about her feelings, and how The twins went and helped amity dye her hair.
I’m glad that all of the blight siblings are able to connect like that and help each other.
