The new charging system is something that was on the 1040 model. It is just a slower way of charging the battery so it retains the batteries life over a longer period of time. It’s iq charge technology… great feature
Jrl clippers is a good clipper I had mine for over 2 years and there still working. On certain hair I hear them rev up I’m pretty excited about the color and the five click lever I’m still trying to figure out there new charger but I will definitely get on

Hey tank, would u recommend this clipper? I already have the original but wondering if this one is worth the upgrade?
I have the 2020c and I’m def copping this one too . This the best clipper out period I’ve tried Rebels, magic clips babyliss lopro etc . Some have great power but don’t fade that well, some barely have power but fade well. JRL does it all . 💈🔥
Is there a stretch bracket you can purchase? I can't find one but love the clippers.

Definitely a comfortable clipper and felt good. Debating whether to get it since the older model died just as the warranty ran out and customer service only offered a discount towards the old model.

You could probably find out what the battery reset button does if you read the manual. Haha That’s why they include them with clippers.

I saw someone post a JRL fade blade vs taper blade video and I noticed the JRL blade has the same teeth holes that the MIM babyliss blade has.
JRL were the first ones to have that technology thats why they never get hot
Tank, what's your favorite clipper guards to use that are compatible with Wahl, JRL, etc? I know the Wahl premiums are the standard that most people seem to use, but have you found a set that you like more, especially on these JRL's?
I typically go with the Babyliss premium guards

Barbers please go With the Grain when cutting coarse hair ESPECIALLY BIG CHOPS it’ll lay the hair down & look less choppy, more then likely leaving the client with waves from Day 1

Is there really any difference with the power on the onyx version compared to the first version? The first version is 7200 rpm and the new one is advertised as 7500. And technically the first version does have 5 hours of battery it has 4 hours on display and then after that you get 60 minutes more of run time
Not sure as far as power. Internals are supposed to be different tho

sad to see that top part of clipper isnt as dark as promoted, doesnt look unicolor, in any case im getting it since its my favourite clipper

I would say shape of the clipper needs to be a little more ergonomic.
Idk if rpm has anything to do with power but the onyx has 7500 rpm which is close to my gamma boosted, so I’d say it’s more powerful this time around
It’s not about the RPMs. It’s about the torque. JRL’s are the only machines that I used to work with. I’ve never had a problem with the power and I think they fade tremendously. But it’s all the personal preference.
