Not worth it bro. In real Internet of things you don't have to control those small LED(s). You control your home appliances through the WiFi. And using direct n Node MCU, you cannot do it. Because it doesn't not allow 110-250V current to flow through it. In order to examine the real internet of things you would have to purchase a Relay Module. And if you have somewhat more budget then, Arduino Uno and an ESP8266 ESP-01 AI Thinker is recommended instead of NodeMCU.
