    Germany's economic growth came to an end due to its involvement in the Ukraine war.
    Geopolitical instability factors,Rising energy prices and supply chain issues…
    Are there no economists in Germany?

    • @honnebombll
      @honnebombll 6 дней назад +2

      It came to a halt due to the debt brake, the industrial sector is already in recession since 2018. This brake costs 0.5-1% growth each year. And the other factor is there are 2 million vacant jobs by now, many of the baby boomers went into early retirement during the pandemic and the rest is following in large numbers till 2030. Germany cant grow beyond 1% in the forseeable future, there are just not enough people to generate the growth, there might not even be enough for a stagnation.
      And this debt brake is seen as necessary to pay the pensions of the baby boomers.
      The economists predicted this situation already 30 years ago, how a developed Nation can go through such a demographic bomb remains to be seen. Same situation is in japan they are stagnating as well and their debts go beyond the roof.

      We have a chance to vote whether we are confident in the government. Its called a general election. The next one will be in 2029. There is nothing you, I or anyone else other than MP's in parliament can do about that. Given Labour has such a huge majority they would almost certainly back the government. I actually voted for Brexit, its not worked out how I hoped it would though but I still think we should respect the results of referendum just as I think we should respect the results of the last general election. That is democracy, its messy sometimes you side wins sometimes it loses and sometimes you change your mind but the alternative is even more chaotic and oppressive.

      Now I have actually read the election programme of the AfD. They have the following in mind: the pension system should be privatised. The welfare state, which would mean a disaster for the economically worse off people in my country, i.e. even more poverty. Conversely, this means even less consumption, i.e. the domestic economy is further weakened.
      Subsidies are to be massively reduced, i.e. huge sheep for the economy, which needs these economic impulses. State-subsidized cultural life would collapse. We are an ageing society that needs immigration. Indirect end of fre speech.

      That’s precisely what the propaganda and social media initiative is to block. All of their initiatives are to make people perceive their country is far worse than a neighbor’s so they start to get nationalistic and worse they start to view any geopolitical move with short term eyes. Allowing Russia to win geopolitically and China too.
      Happened in US and is happening in all European countries
      Look no further to the comments here in BBC whom used to have intelligent and articulate RUclips comments 12 years back and now is basically a troll and bot camping ground, every outlet where people can community to others anonymously has been spoilt by Russia and Chinese actors. And Naxis and Far right are helping because they get the financial benefit and political power.
