When the demo of GRID came out, I first started to play it with the third person camera, but after I switched to the cockpit view everything got better, and since that day I only use cockpit view on any racing game.

I wish Grid 2 could have cockpit view like first Grid. I like Grid 2 too, i think there is better choice of cars and tracks, but cockpit view is very missing.
Exactly. I find it funny that people are so serious arguing about why some games are "arcade" and others are "realistic". At the end of the day, they're all games and the only realistic racing one can do is to be on an actual track.
I'm in the minority here. I prefer Autosport's as I find the view in GRID 1 to be tilted too far low, which makes it nearly impossible for me to focus on the road ahead. Makes me cross-eyed.
From a person that actually has raced on a track in the real world, driving like that you wouldn't of made it 500 feet, but i guess that's the joy of video games, no need to deal with reality ill just press reset.
im not sure whats going on here but ive played some good racing games in my time ranging from GT1 all the way to GT5, ive played Forza1-4 an have played Grid1 an just got Grid2. Im sure we all kno that GT an Forza are more "Sim" than Grid but tbh, I have more so enjoyed my time Drifting on Froza3-4, Racing on GT1-5 and GOING HAM on Grid1-2. but the MOST fun ive had playing a racing game would be MARIO KART N64. That's where the boys become Men an salads get tossed left an right. (Balls Required)
I never really liked the cockpit view in this game for various reasons. The steering animation is simply weird for a keyboard player, there's always this generic speedometer in almost every racing car, and specifically, a Zonda R doesn't have a stick shifter, it has a sequential shifter. Other than that it's the most enjoyable game in the entire GRID franchise.
Goddamned unbelievable. Watching this great footage of GRID makes me feel sorry for being gullible and purchasing the mangled arcade trash that is GRID2. Let's hope that the official mod support helps make GRID2 into a playable game :/ Removing cockpit view from a game like that... What the hell, Codemasters? :(
i was thinking of getting back into the Grid series but after watching this i re-realized why I never got into Grid its ridiculous. I prefer sim racing not tire smoke around every corner and bouncing off everything in sight and still coming in first. GT5 rules
The cockpit view in GRID is shitty compared with the one in Shift 1. I know Shift in newer, but it's way batter. So is the driving realism, like a racing simulator should be. This one reminds me of early 2000 NFSs. Not in the good way, ofc.
