Yeah, I've never played this game. My friend found out I like video game music and showed me this tune. I was like "damn, this is from an older game" way before its time.
I love this; it is also my ringtone. I rented this game from Blockbuster and think I may have ended up paying about $75 in late fees because it was just BRUTALLY hard, but this music was just magic. It's a shame the Follin Brothers aren't making music anymore because their stuff was amazing. Retro Remix Revue also does an amazing note perfect version of this song using real instruments that's pretty incredible also.
I'm not sure if I ever got far enough into this game to actually even hear this song, but it's so good! I always really liked Follin's work on the NES (just struck me as more manic, which I like), but this uses the SNES beautifully.
Glad someone has posted this. It one of the all-time badass games tunes. It's just killer. & that's saying something as one can't help but compare it to the rest of the tunes which were all great too. But this one stands out a wee bit more. However my copy is nearly twice as long @ 8 minutes 3 seconds. Man, it took forever for me to beat his levels. That trick to get extra guys helped. I think I had 30 left over by the time I beat the game. heheh
This game sucked I mean it is an LJN game known for suck ass games but the music on this game was awesome! I used to just pause this game and listen to the music. I finally wised up and hooked my snes to my stereo and recorded the music to a tape. Ol school gaming memories.
One of the all-time greats, this track! As a general rule, I am a bigger fan of Sega Genesis music than I am of Super NES music. But I think the Genesis version of this track sounds horrible. Whoever ported the Tim and Geoff Follin masterpieces from this game over to the Genesis didn't do a very good job. But this original version is something special indeed! We got this game the day after Christmas 1992, when we got the SNES. Talk about a warm welcome from 8-bit to 16-bit video game music!
One of the best songs ever in a videogame.
This game was good but this soundtrack was beyond its time
10 PLUS YEARS
NO DISLIKES
Remember hearing this the first time and being blown away evertime the beat had a change up. But that last smooth chage up always gets me
same here but if only the game was as good as the soundtrack
Jack Steel sad face.....

+Lord Ice yeah it really is, you should also check out 'the adventures of Batman and Robin - Two-Face's theme' on the genesis, I think you'll like it
you might want to check out the silver surfer soundtrack the nes...talk about way before its time...
Solstice for the NES was awesome, too.
Follin Brothers at their best xD
Does anyone else have a major dopamine release every time they listen to this?
It is fantastic

Of course Gambit had to get a really cool theme.

Oh, so this is where that theme came from, my first exposure to this theme was a arranged version by a band I discovered on i tunes.
WHAT?! What’re they called?!
@@TheShockVoxHe's probably referring to Retro Remix Revue, who did an awesome arrangement of this theme.

Have you heard Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest's music? Especially its *normal boss* theme? Now that is one bad-ass tune.

Yep. That score is pretty damn good. That track, in particular, kicks severe ass.
Tsujanryo
The first time I heard it, I'm like "Wait, what, am I at the final boss already?" xD
Gambits theme is a a definite Hall of famer for all time......"Royal Flush"!!!!
This song reminds so much of the animated Spider-Man show from MTV
The music in this game was sooooo good lol
This is so dope.

That's a long ringtone lol
