Thanks for your review 💗. Valerian's curses Jude in the 1st book (“The Cruel Prince”). He says “May your hands always be stained with blood. May death be your only companion. May you-” And then he dies not finishing the curse. (p. 211). If I'm not mistaken it's the night before the coronation going awry. It's interesting because I didn't think that an “unfinished” curse can be still attached to a person and there is no implication in other 2 books of the original trilogy that it influenced Jude in any real way.
Ahhhhh interesting!! I’m totally with you in not seeing the repercussions of the curse in either series… However, maybe with Wren removing it, we will see a change in Jude in the forthcoming Undersea books! They made such a big deal out of honoring Oak’s choice to NOT rule at the end of TPT, as well as the quick scene about Jude’s birth control… I wonder if that will be tied into the next books with the removal of her curse??
@@SandrasLibrary I also wonder if it will come to play in the Undersea book or if it was just used here to exhibit Suren's potentially smart power move showcasing her magical abilities surpassing those of the High King and Queen, how Oak sees it. (While as I see it, because she is someone who wants to be accepted-probably Suren tried to prove herself as someone who doesn't have bad intentions and can be of help/useful). I am almost sure we will have Jurdan babies, as the fandom just wants it so much that Holly might yield, but apart from the fact that Jude might have felt burdened by the curse I am too afraid to speculate how it could work otherwise (because it swerves me into... miscarriage territory and even I think it's too much of a stretch 🤡).
Drop a 🖤 if you're excited about more Elfhame stories!
