I had only watched this movie like 2 times, once in cinemas and one year later at TV. It never ocurred to me that the spider glitching was a plot point, I used to think it was a design take. I also think it's impossible to figure this out on your first time watching the movie.
The fact that the spider was from another earth never really surprised me. I think after seeing the other spider people I kinda just assumed the spider also came from somewhere else.

The foreshadowing with Spider-42 glitching and the fact that Miles threw a bagel at that guy, which was the person responsible for bringing the spider to Earth-1610 in the first place, who later on becomes a multiversal threat, is crazy. They planned this whole thing from the start!

When uncle aaron and miles jumped the fence there was an alchamax sign on it, the spider glitching and of course the 42 on it. Thye really did plan ahead for a sequel. Props to the team who worked on this beautiful movie.

Something I find interesting is that the ATSV hints that the spider from dimension 42 was zapped away before it bit miles of that dimension. And in that dimension Miles is in class being a good student. It is zapped to 1610 here where Miles is goofing off committing like petty vandalism with his uncle and he’a bit. That bite ended miles’ relationship with his uncle in 1610 and robbed this dimension of the prowler and robbed dimension 42 of its spiderman.
And the aftermath is miles 1610 becomes a great student and the new york's greatest spiderman (in his dimesion) and miles 42 becomes a bad dude stealing stuff

I feel like the twist in the 3rd film will be that this spider was always destined to bite miles and he was always meant to be spider man When we see the flashback of spider 42 before it’s teleported to the other dimension it’s on a table crawling towards miles, it even avoids bitting uncle Aaron and goes to miles.
I think the idea is that the fates of the two Miles’ were swapped, Miles 42 was supposed to be the one and only Spider-Man of Earth 42 and our Miles was supposed to become The Prowler since he was spending a lot of time with his uncle. I do think you’re right though, the spider was destined to bite Miles, it’s just that which Miles changed when it got warped.

I do think you’re right though, the spider was destined to bite Miles, it’s just that which Miles changed when it got warped.
The universe deadass even gives him his own canon to follow and shit, it's not accident, but i do think it's dumb that "A police officer close to spider-man dies" would even apply to Miles since his dimension already had a Peter Parker who should already have gone through that, i think the problem is that Captain Stacy does seem to still be alive in Miles universe so it's probably just bad luck lol
